The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Domain at Columbia
The inside of the apartments are pretty nice, but the outside are not. Most of the amenities will often be down for extended periods of time such as no volleyball net or the fire pit not working. They have also recently changed the parking system to where there are reserved spots that are unmarked and open spots that are marked as reserved. They will also tow cars without any notice from the unmarked spots.

I have been a resident of The Domain for over 3 years and absolutely love it. The staff truly cares about you and will go above and beyond to help you out. The amenities are great and maintenance is quick to complete your maintenance requests. The shuttle to campus is very convenient. I am so glad I got to spend my college years here! Many great memories and I have met my best friends living at The Domain.

The apartments are amazing! Great size and the finishings are pretty new. Management is super accommodating and everyone in the office is really kind. Maintenance is also really nice and works quickly to get service requests finished in a timely manner. The gym, theater and business center are all awesome too! Have lived at multiple other places in Columbia and couldn’t recommend the Domain more!

Such a kind and well-written review, Nikki! Thank you for your sincerity and for choosing The Domain at Columbia!
The windows are the worst, and that alone is worth taking off one star, there’s no enforcement on animal owners to pick up their dog poop that’s all over the place, the front desk is pretty much literally useless, the text notifications are annoying and every single time they text you they use a different number to do so, so not only are they texting alerts 10 times a day they’re using s new number every time cluttering up my text inbox for no apparent reason. Management also said they would cover up to 30 dollars for electricity. But it was changed and my roommate and I were never notified. Essentially they were making empty promises in order to get people to sign, which is a super shady business practice. Along with that i requested that somebody clean the leftover animal poop (from the last tenants) and mess from my back porch, after asking them for about 2 months, with nothing done, except for empty promises made, I made a more angry/assertive call to the front, and they took care of my issue almost immediately. Which number one, shows me how much the management really don't care about the tenant, number two the front said they would send a cleaning service to clean it for me, but not only did they not, they sent in maintenance, and because I made this maintenance lady clean up and do something she didn't want to, she made a false accusatory claim against me without any proof, as a form of retaliation. I feel like I have been harassed and retaliated against because I felt like I deserved what I was owed, which was a clean apartment. As a final note, the only thing I have had a good experience with is the bus/bus drivers. They are great people who work hard to make sure the bus is always on time, and I can always count on the bus to be there.
Signed a better rate guarantee when I resigned last fall. Although there is way better rates going on right now, management told me I would not receive those rates because it’s titled a “special” and the better rate guarantee is only if the base right decreases. Essentially, I signed a piece of garbage.
The Domain is the worst place I have ever lived. Management is disorganized and will never give you a straight answer because nobody has a clue what is going on half the time. Furthermore, our utilities skyrocketed (over 10x the normal amount) during one month, and we never got a straight answer from management as to why. The maintenance staff does scheduled "inspections" every other month which is incredibly intrusive, and one person on the maintenance staff has makes repeated creepy comments to myself and my roommates every time he does "inspections". However, if you actually submit a maintenance request, maintenance takes weeks to reply. When they finally address the issue, they do a terrible job (we sent in the same maintenance request to fix our garbage disposal three times, and every time maintenance failed to fix the problem. The disposal still does not work. Also, the entire complex is built on a sinking foundation, so it will probably fall down in a few years anyway. This place sucks. Do not live here. If I could give zero stars I would.

Hello,We sincerely regret that your experience with our community has been anything short of excellent. Your feedback is very important to us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to address it. Our community recently received a new general manager and completed several trainings, so we do believe that our processes will be much improved. Regarding your utilities, bills were much higher across the entire city of Columbia, because of the extremely cold weather that we have been experiencing. For more information about your usage information and billing, please contact Conservice at 866-947-7379. Additionally, the City of Columbia Utilities may be able to assist you as well and can be reached at 573-874-7380. We were unaware of any complaints regarding our maintenance technician, however that individual is no longer at our property, and we do believe that your maintenance requests will begin to be more effective and efficient with repairs. We do have frequent inspections to assure the safety of all residents, and thank you for your patience and cooperation as those inspections are completed. If you have any more questions, please reach out to the office so we may identify you and your situation in order to reach a positive resolution.Best,Domain at Columbia Management
I enjoyed my stay at the Domain. It is a fairly new property with lots of cool features like roommate matching and 24 hour maintenance. The Domain has the best amenities hands down and the biggest pool in Cumbia. I highly recommend staying with them if they're in your budget!
