Very easy and thorough tour of the apartment building. I love the rooftop pool has a great view of the ocean and marina. The elevators seem to be very quick which I love! Building is kept clean and there is after hours security to help me feel safe. Moving in was nice is easy as there is a loading zone for the mover’s truck. I am loving my new apartment at The Current so far!
I've been living at the current since they opened. I love the amenities and the area. Being close to the beach is always top tier! Only draw backs are that the rent increases at lease renewals, one parking space, no perks like one month free when you renew your lease anymore.

The additional monthly Parking charges are ridiculous. There is no Loyalty once becoming a tenant, especially if leased for 5 years. It is purely transactional treatment, and your rent will increase. There are different rules for other people and timing. I rarely take time to take polls, but this is important to understand.

I recently had a FexEx package stolen from mail room. Granted it is open common area however it is resident only area and this leaves really bad taste in my mouth. It is impossible to mistenly pick up a package addressed to someone else’s name, you know?
I love this place. Feels like living in a 5 star hotel People here are super friendly. Walking distance from literally everything. Shopping, restaurants, the beach and much more.

The Current staff is the very best. Raelle acted interested in helping me find an apartment that was a perfect match and she and Denisse made each step of the leasing and move-in process easier. They are encouraging and knowledgeable about all aspects of the property and share that proactively so I became comfortable with the apartment community quickly. The building is kept very clean and residents are friendly. I've lived in similar apartment complexes across states, but this is by far the best one.

When to go visit a friend and the staff was great! very nice, respectful and helpful. a staff member name Alex that was passing by helped me locate my friends apartment.Alex was great and even offered to take me directly to my friends apartment so I won't get lost and assure I meet with my friend. Building was very clean! And consierge offered candy! Great staff! great place!

If you’re looking for a place that embodies unpretentious quiet luxury, you must take a closer look at The Current. The high-rise building offers beautiful views of the city or ocean, depending on what side of the building you’re on. The rooftop offers you the chance to sunbath, grill, and relax with stunning and sweeping ocean views. In the Leasing Office, Raelle is an absolute rockstar and true professional. If you tell her exactly what you’re looking for in a unit, she will keep your must-haves in mind, and will reach out when your perfect unit becomes available. Raelle also coordinates resident events, enabling a true sense of community in a city so big. Assistant Manager Denise is also always helpful and there to answer any resident questions. The property is immaculately maintained by the maintenance and cleaning crew, who are always so friendly. The gym, parking garage, trash room, mail area, and free dog wash station are kept clean and tidy as well, which makes it comfortable for everyone in the building to use. The members of the maintenance team, led by Alex, are on top of work orders, and take the time to answer questions you might have. The location of The Current is unbeatable, offering immediate access to Downtown Long Beach, while also being steps away from the walking path at Alamitos Beach. There are a ton of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance, making it easy to be social while not having to worry about driving or parking. Lastly, the building offers security (thank you, Robert!), which makes me feel more comfortable entering/exiting the building during non-peak hours.

The Current is the best apartment complex I have lived in. The entire management team is amazing and makes sure we are taken care of. The maintenance team is amazing. Alex has been running the team for a few years and the building has never been better. Whatever needs to get fixed, Alex and Juan are getting it done. The ladies in the office are nice and ensure they’re available if any concerns arise. Pat, the manager, is also taking care of the property nicely and ensures we are happy living here. He is taking over well. Their teamwork shows when they make The Current a great place to live. Overall, I would highly recommend living at The Current!

Good place to live, but some issues like scarcity of guest parking and some insects in the apartment make it hard to give it a 5 star. I do like the cleanliness of the place and how fast the maintenance response usually is.

I’ve been living here for about 4 months now and finally decorated my 2 bed 2 bath to my liking and it just feels like home. The hospitality of management, security workers, and even the service department here is amazing. The entrance to the beach is literally across the street and is a great place to start a run or even grab a drink at gaucho bar. It is the epitome of what living by the beach be like.

The Current is an amazing community. The property is beautiful and the leasing and maintenance staff is top notch! Raelle and Denisse in the leasing office are super professional and have handled any leasing issues I've had effortlessly. I recently renewed my lease for another year. The Current offers a lot of convenience with its prime location in the middle of DTLB. The connected retailers, including Hi-Lo Liquor, Qargo coffee, Sushi Beluga, and BMore Pizza, make everyday errands and dining out incredibly convenient. The amenities are outstanding. I can enjoy a relaxing day at the beautiful 4th-floor terrace or take a dip in the pool on the 17th floor, both offering great spots to unwind and take in the views. Additionally, The Current hosts a variety of events, from the big Grand Prix party to smaller gatherings like yoga on the 17th floor, which adds a vibrant and engaging community feel to the place. The staff at The Current, particularly Raelle and Denisse, always make me feel welcomed and valued. Their friendliness and attentiveness greatly enhance the living experience, making it feel like home. Been a great experience so far. We moved from Denver site unseen so we relied heavily on Raelle and google reviews to help us scope the place out. We were pleasantly surprised to find everything matched the description and reviews and so far everything has exceeded our expectations. The area is great, there's security on staff every night, and we're across the street from the beach, what more could you ask for?

I’ve had the pleasure of residing at The Current for the past year, and I must say, it has been an extraordinary experience since day one. By far the best apartment complex my wife and I have lived at since moving to Southern California five years ago. First and foremost, the staff at The Current are truly exceptional. From the leasing managers, Denisse and Raelle, to the maintenance team who truly keep this place spotless, everyone is friendly and they go above and beyond to ensure residents feel welcomed and at home. The staff also promotes and hosts community events such as pool parties, grand prix gatherings, and superbowl watch parties which has been great as we have gotten to meet new friendly neighbors. Overall, our time at The Current has been nothing short of fantastic. From the exceptional staff to the luxurious amenities and prime downtown/beachfront location, it's everything we could have hoped for as new Long Beach residents. The Current is an amazing place to live. I have lived in countless major buildings throughout Southern California and this has been mine and my wife’s best experience in terms of an apartment building. Management has excelled at continuously finding new ways and going above and beyond to create community amongst the tenants. MNF in the clubhouse, countless well planned and pun-ily themed rooftop parties, acknowledging different cultures and customs by the front desk, and even just making you feel like a resident vs feeling like just a tenant who’s there to give a monthly rent check. They work with you and rarely ever work against you. Maintenance is next level. I put in a request and a lot of the time my problem’s solved within a couple hours. And they never make you feel like you’re a nuisance because of a maintenance request, unlike a lot of the other major buildings in LA and OC. If you want to live in Downtown Long Beach, this is the best place, from my experience, that you can choose.
