As a retired military member, I've lived in numerous apartment communities throughout this country. I can, with all confidence, state that Royal Oaks is the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. The apartments are well insulated and the wooded location make it pleasing as well. Maintenance and management is "top notch." You can't go wrong selecting Royal Oaks!!

I stayed here for more than 6 years and perhaps my stay at this community was most comfortable. Easy approachable and soft spoken management, quick and efficient maintenance, timely snow removal in winters, nice and quiet, safe, free water , trash removal and heating and reasonable rent. I was surprised when my security deposit was refunded very quickly with negligible deductions. So far this has been my best stay and I had to relocate for change of job. If I am back in town again, I will opt for same community.

Royal Oaks Apartments have been an excellent place to live. They are super clean and everything is in perfect working order. The staff and maintenance crew are easy to work with, honest and quickly responsive to all matters. The apartment is right behind a grocery store, CVS and close to restaurants ... and most of all a short walk or bike ride to a beautiful beach to enjoy! I would recommend this place to anyone as it is truly the best, safest and affordable apartments to stay at in the Michigan City area! Thank you!

This complex is quiet, the neighbors great, the wooded complex has a wonderful mix of wildlife, with deer and wild turkeys. The management and maintenance are friendly and responsive. The communication is great and they work hard to keep the grounds beautiful and fix any problems promptly. Plus you have a dedicated covered parking space. Truly one of the best places to rent in the area. A short hike and you are on the beach at Lake Michigan. Close to groceries, pharmacy and several eateries. What more could one want!

Having lived in apartments for many years, I feel that the Royal Oaks Apartments are by far the best choice in Michigan City. The knowledge that the maintenance staff is only a phone call away at anytime is most reassuring. In addition, the sound proofing at Royal Oaks is wonderful! The woodland setting surrounding the well maintained building and grounds make experiencing the four seasons truly "picture perfect". For those of you who don't like winter, the car ports and excellent snow removal makes living in the snow belt far less difficult. Unlike many apartments, maintenance problems are handled quickly and efficiently. The friendly staff and management make living here a very pleasant experience which makes renewing my lease every year a ""no brainer".

My wife and I lived here 18 years ago and purchased a house in Trail Creek. We are now selling that house and downsizing and never thought about moving anywhere but the Royal Oaks Apartments and we're so happy to be back! The buildings and grounds are impeccably maintained, in a truly woodland setting. We’ve seen birds, of all kinds, from hummingbirds on our balcony, to a buck, a fox and many wild turkeys! Bill Walker, the manager, continues to do the things that make the grounds attractive and homey. There's a true sense of security and the buildings were designed and built so we're unable to hear our neighbors, other than in friendly conversation coming and going. The management and staff go out of their way to accommodate the tenants. Heating is included in the rent and the only utility we pay is electricity. We feel right at home and glad to be back!
