Property Ratings at The Cortesian Apartments
It has it's pros and cons but more pros than cons. It's in a nice area with options of places to shop and eat at. Layout isn't too crazy and things (for the most part) are kept clean. My biggest complaint is how flooded my front door area gets when it rains. Literally comes up just underneath the door frame.
This apartment complex is located in old town Scottsdale. Its near lots of restaurants and a movie theater. There is a Walmart close by as well.

Okayish place, but we’ve been facing issues. This place is supposed to come with WiFi set up already, but our apartment wasn’t. And it feels like it’s our responsibility to get it resolved which is wild, Cortesian couldn’t care less. It’s impossible to get a hold of anyone at the leasing office, we’re always having to go and speak to them in person cuz they never pick up the phone. Not happy with the maintenance too.

The apartment and its location is nice, and staff are very kind. But phone and email responses are very limited, resulting in the need to go in person to the office. Maintance is slow, and may not check your apartment before move in for any damages.

I have a strong suspicion that every apartment in this complex has an issue with leaks. I have been in two now and both have been equally damaged on move in. Do not rent here. You will be treated like you are the problem when it is their negligence that creates these issues.

I love living in the Cortesian community. The location is a short walk to grocery stores, parks, restaurants, bars, malls and shopping plazas. I love that they have 3 pools to choose from and several grilling areas as well.

The place is excellent, good maintenance inside and outside the apartments, good neighborhood. Close to Old Town and restaurants, galleries and shops. Quiet around. Close to main freeways and main streets. No traffic at all. Good place to live. I recommend the place to live.

Been a good experience. Not perfect but it's a great locating and rent price hasn't been bad and staff is responsive. Maintenance has been a bit of a pain at times. But overall I have enjoyed living here

Is a good complex for the most part, is located in a great area, and is safe. There are some issues with people picking up their dog's poop.

It feels like something is always breaking in my apartment, and I have had multiple at this complex because of it. My first apartment had roofing damage that caused a leak in both bedrooms, this was not fixed in the almost year of living there. The roof was supposedly redone right before moving in so no idea why it took them almost a year and loads of maintenance requests to finally move me to a new apartment; but they couldn’t just fix it in the first place?? On top of that there was ZERO flexibility when it came time to transfer apartments. We were given 72 hours to move from one apartment to the other with less than two week notice. How is the new apartment? Falling apart as well! These “renovations” that they do are so low budget it just makes the apartments worse. Water stains on ceilings, dog pee all over the patio, cabinet doors falling off, screws and bugs painted into the pantry shelves, and so much more. I asked if these issues could be amended and it was a flat out no.

Overall, this apartment complex offers solid value for the price—especially given its prime location in Old Town Scottsdale. Covered parking, well-maintained pools, and the vibrant neighborhood are definite highlights. However, the outdated and often crowded community laundry room is a drawback, and the rent payment system can be frustratingly glitchy at times. Great for the budget-conscious who don’t mind a few quirks.

Apartment is in a great location. Apartment itself is ok. Exterior renovations to the property have been nice especially with the new sun shades for the windows. Have had a lot of maintenance issues and shower seems to be painted over so it’s literally falling apart. There are bubbles in the ceiling. A/C doesn’t not run well throughout the whole apartment unless it’s set super low.

To be fair, I've only been here 2 weeks. So far, this place is very quiet and respectful. No loud music late at night. No loud animals. Cleanliness is very well kept up with.

My apartment experience has been fantastic! The office is so nice, the maintenance is helpful, grounds keeping is on point, no pests either... the community around 400's pool is fun, no parking issues (for me) we all get along. Add that into the price & location and this is by far the best apts to live in Scottsdale.

I really enjoy living here. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood. The staff is friendly and maintenance is quick to fix issues. There’s a good amount of guest parking as well.

Everything’s been great so far. Few problems here or there but complex has been great with getting stuff done quickly. My apartment is nicer than I thought it would be.

Great location but the people moving in has greatly changed, loud music, smoking, let dogs bark, pretty sure there is mold in the apartment because you can see water damage and really needs a very deep clean.

Overall very satisfied with my 2 years here. Our apartment was up-to-date and had nice appliances. Our parking was close and never had a problem with car break-ins. Location is amazing. Price seemed appropriate.

Everything is wonderful so far. Just the next door neighbor is loud but I give him grace since he is just a kid. The laundry unit could use more units. But over all the maintenance guys are so cool and nice and quick! They fixed my two issues so fast I was shocked and they are very kind as well. The leasing agents I speak to always respond quickly and always answer my questions. I love that the community is not too large it feels cozy! Over all I have recommended this complex to a handful of friends and co workers.

I have enjoyed living at The Cortesian! The building is clean and always being worked on, people are friendly, and I love the pools! I do however get frustrated w the Amazon pickup locker, because USPS, UPS, and FedEx are able to put packages in there w no pickup code. This delays me getting my packages by at least a week, sometimes even longer. If they gave us a pickup code, I would love the Amazon locker!

The office assistant manager Brianna is great. I have mostly dealt with her and she is great as the other office staff are very nice. There are areas around the complex that need improvements but overall it’s very nice and the location is very convenient.

Great apartment and maintenance people haven’t had any issues look forward to living here longer and hoping to stay for a while they are great and very clean good location quiet family friendly and they love pets

Every is great. Location, church and schools near, grocery stores, Old town Scottsdale, great access to main streets and highways. The community is quiet, respectful and we love to live there. The apartments are some of them renovated and everything is great.

Love the location in the neighborhood. Being a Greystar property the management is only interested in how much money they can get out of you and aren’t very helpful for anything else at all, whether that be prompt maintenance service or keeping their word on any issue.

Love the short walks to the various selections of restaurants, bars shops and live music. There are walkable trails and parks nearby as well. I do not golf but there are plenty of golf courses too. All in walking distance!!

My experience was meh. All this is cool but feels forced. Too many emails in my inbox. Just give me the points. Neighborhood is nice and super close to work and camelback mountain. I wish there were more lights in the apartment so I wouldn’t have to buy lamps.

These apartments are in a prime area for shopping, outdoor exercise, and safety. The laundry room has been improved with the CSC Go app. The apartment community hosts various events that are fun and interesting.

I moved into the Cortesian Apartments in Scottsdale just 15 days ago, and so far my experience has been quite positive. The staff has been very welcoming, and my unit feels modern, with updated appliances and plenty of storage. I also appreciate how well-maintained the grounds are—clean walkways, a sparkling pool, and friendly neighbors.

Supportive. Grey star. Listen s. And. Makes. Upgrade. Immediately make sure all landscaping and pool furniture is new and bright gas grills all working and sanitized.
