The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Colony Apartments
My car was stolen last night facilitated by this complex. I’m being charged 340 to get it back. The woman in the office lied to their tenant about how long I was there and almost seemed pleased when on the phone with me today about the fact that it happened. If you move here your visitors are not welcome. Know this.
I have only been here for a short period, but my experience this far has been very pleasant and friendly. The building is quiet and clean.
The pictures are deceiving. All of the apartments do not look like this nor does the property.
I have now gone 12 days without air conditioning in my apartment here. Problem was diagnosed on day 3 and the needed part was reportedly available the next day, since then management has been totally indifferent and ineffective on getting onsite personnel to make the needed repair. If you want to spend your money to live in a sauna, this place is for you!!
My apartment is very clean yet roaches are constantly popping up in my apartment. I’m going to just assume new management doesn’t get the routine exterminator to keep pest out. Literally seen 3 roaches in my apartment within one day. This is so disgusting I’m ready to move out.
Property Manager at The Colony Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello, We are sorry to hear you are having an issue and absolutely do not want this to cintinue or get worse. Please contact us as we do have pest control on property every Friday.
I am very Happy with the New Management. The Grounds and Lighting outside are very Nice The Security that they have put in place with all the cameras makes it a Good, safe Neighborly place to live. They are making many improvements and updates to the apartments too you should check them out.????
Lived here couple years now and the square footage/space in the two bedroom is great. Living area is hug, can fit sectional sofa, chairs and still have room. Master bedroom has own bath and two mic size closets. Even little beverage bar area currently using as coffee bar.
In the office they are really great ?? Very good to get along with
I’ve lived here for about two years now, my apartment is beautiful and completely renovated. The ladies in the leasing office are absolutely amazing and friendly, very welcoming!
Been living here for a couple of months now and overall the place is great. Management is great and quick to your needs. Everybody is nice and the apartment is very spacious for what it is. Truly recommended.
I have been living here for 5 years and now that's it's under renovation by new management I miss the personal touch and caring attitude for residents that was received from the old management. First, some amenities such as the trash shoots have been closed. So now everyone has to drag trash down 5 stories to the center of the complex to a nasty fly infested dumpster. The cameras are a plus depending on how they are used and you have to take a picture and give them your life story just to take a dip in the pool. On top of that they give you short notifications of when the water is going to be off or the elevator is going to be out of service. You will get it late on a Friday and a service that requires your preparation is done Monday morning, like power washing your patio. The bottom line is its all about their convenience not yours! Zero consideration....I will not be renewing my lease
Okay, the first thing is, this place is INFESTED with rodents!!! You will see mice all through the building and in your place! The landlord will just send the maintenance man to lay down sticky traps! She refuses to do a thorough patch job or put poison in the walls. She blames everyone for the infestation, when clearly there are holes on the outside of the building and big gaps under the side and back doors!!! The elevator broke every other day it seemed and she would blame people not paying their rent as to why she can't just get a new one installed. There was NEVER any hot water. I often had to take cold showers before work! She tells EVERYONE's business. The balconies have cracks in them and looked like it would break at any time. There are so many issues with this place, that I'm shocked that it's still in operation! I am so glad that I moved! I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone! Both of the buildings need to be demolished and built back to new. DO NOT move there! You will regret it!
The apartments here are like a diamond in the rough. There are two buildings that complete the complex. When you walk into the lobby and through the halls, you will probably be counting down the minutes until you can leave. When you walk into the apartment however, it is a VERY different story. The apartments are beautiful inside. For the most part everything has been recently renovated and they are very clean. Each apartment has a LARGE screened in balcony/patio. Each floor has laundry and a trash chute. There is 1 elevator for each building. There are large mailboxes in the lobby and even an outgoing mail slot. The lobby is locked and you must use a key fob to scan and it will unlock the lobby door. You may also use a key but the key fob is more convenient especially when carrying groceries. Utilities (Water, Trash, Electric) are included in your monthly rent so they only thing you really need to pay is your cable and/or internet. The apartments are pre-wired for Verizon Fios and Comcast. Concrete ceilings and floors make it pretty much noise proof. Parking is ample and we have parking tags that we use to identify residents. The property manager is super nice and is also very thorough when it comes to moving into a clean apartment. When I did my move in walk-thru, the carpet looked spotless but she had it cleaned again before I moved in. She made sure the apartment was in great shape before she allowed me to move in. I appreciate that a lot. The grounds are kept neat and trimmed in the summer and there is a good response in the winter when we need the lots plowed. We have a pool that is open in the summer for those with pool passes. There is a shopping center with a grocery store within 2 minutes away. We are located minutes from Route 495 so travel is a breeze. Overall this is a great place to live. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I believe they need to make improvements on the lobby and halls, but I believe the property manager is working on that next. I am very happy living here and I would definitely refer it
