A suburban sprawl that perfectly accentuates the rest of Lawrence, South Lawrence provides space and tranquility to those who want to be near the home of the University of Kansas, but don’t like the noise of the city. Living at The Nest has been a mostly positive experience. The location is super convenient, especially for someone my age close to campus and within a short distance of local shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The amenities here, like the fitness center and the study rooms, have definitely made my life easier when it comes to balancing school and personal life. The apartment itself is pretty modern and well-maintained. The common areas are clean, and I’ve never had issues with noise from neighbors, which can be a big deal in student living situations. The management is friendly and responsive for the most part, and maintenance requests are handled fairly quickly, although there have been a few delays during busy times.

Overall, I have enjoyed my time living at the Nest. There are some really great features that make the price of rent worth it, such as the huge pool and hot tub as well as the Nest shuttle that takes you to the main spots on campus which is very helpful and saves you money/time by using the shuttle instead of driving and having to find a parking spot or buying a parking permit which can be expensive. Another plus would be the 24/7 gym that’s available for residents!

I have really enjoyed my time at the nest. I just renewed for my third year, and it is a great place to live at for students! I love all of the events and all of the amenities they provide for students. The study rooms and printer are especially helpful.

The place is amazing. The four-man unit is solid and comes with everything a resident would need. I love all of the amenitites and how the gym is open for 24 hours.

When I moved in, my roommates and I had to deep clean our apartment. There was a film on the floor that made my white socks black. We have spiders and have filled out forms to have pest control come. We were told that we are dirty.

I love it! Best housing decision I could have made. The 3-person condos are spacious and well furnished. Maintenance is extremely effective and quick to respond to any issues that might occur, which is great for students without the equipment or expertise. I love the area and the community the Nest offers! It is a great experience!! The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear your neighbors a lot but other than that it’s a great experience!!

Great amenities, great shuttles, great location, great space, weird management. Everything here is absolutely perfect, including the student services like maintenance/transportation etc. But as soon as something goes wacky with your personal documents, you will be annoyed.

Great complex for college students. Everything is very accessible and easy. There are nice study spaces and printing for students. The area is also great!

Good area, I enjoyed the occasional events that is held at the main area, the clubhouse, as for the apartments I would say everything is fine, spacious rooms, as it contained a bathroom with it and closet. The unit also contained a washer and dryer ensuring stuff can be done in the unit itself.

All the benefits that come with leaving here are nice (the pool, hot tube, etc.) but the apartments need to be cleaner, especially the front porch.

I find it fun to live here. The apartments are nice, the community is enjoyable, and they have interesting events held often. I will say though not full five stars because our internet isn't the best and it took forever to get it fixed, which is difficult especially because I am a student

It has been okay, but less than we were expecting for the price. Our neighbors are super loud and have been causing problems but our concerns were not addressed when taken to the general manager.

I’ve loved living here so far and it’s really nice especially for the price and it being student living. The nest shuttle always takes me to class and gets me there fast, all of the staff has been very nice so far and I don’t have many complaints :)

It’s a very nice neighborhood with pretty much every amenity you could think of. Also the shuttle buses and the clubhouse events are an added bonus.

If you appreciate a nice outdoor space, you should look elsewhere. The complex is surrounded by roads and borders the highway. The noise is constant.
I think this complex is very nice and very convenient for people. It’s just that they need to set more rules for this apartment because neighbors tend to be annoying at night

It’s been great so far and I love it here. The pool is amazing and somewhere I enjoy being. The gym has amenities that I like to use such as the yoga room.

Moving in was super easy and I’ve had a wonderful time with my roommates. The times we’ve needed maintence they came fairly quickly and were super friendly.

The Nest not only has a great housing but also great events to attend. I have never had any issues here and is a great place to live if your looking for comfortable and fun atmosphere.

I love it here already! From the amazing pool, to the clean gym, and even the fast maintenance. It is a great place to be. Parking is easy and so is using the mailboxes.

I love it at the Nest it is so cozy and great to be able to have your own space! I thought the drive would be more difficult to campus but it is not that far at all!

It’s been very nice and there are no complaints, other than a few damaged items when we moved in and the sinks water pressure is very bad. Overall it has been a good experience so far

Amenities are fantastic and the neighborhood feels lively. tons of activities and great staff. shuttle runs consistently and efficiently. i couldn’t have asked for an easier move in day

The first two weeks have been great, no major problems with the apartment on move in, just that the floor was oddly a but sticky. Amenities are great so far!
The place is really nice. There is a lot of room in the living room. The bedroom are pretty big and it’s nice to have your own bathroom in your room.

Went to move in and place was disgusting, bugs, mold, and multiple things were broken. Management was absolutely no help and tried to blow us off. Avoid this place!
