When renovations are complete, the newly renovated Chimes Building will boast as many as 150 upscale apartments, featuring a variety of layouts. Vibrant and historic Downtown Syracuse is much more than the city's hub. The ornate theater, decorated in rich red and gold, first opened in 1928. Another landmark, the McCarthy Building, was built in 1894 and is the oldest building in Syracuse.
