This Queens community is situated on the Rockaway Peninsula, a stretch of land between Jamaica Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This area offers the best of both worlds: a coastal community with easy access to the city via the Rockaway Park Station. Commuters can take the subway into Manhattan in less than an hour.
Rockaway Park is a terrific community, hosting one of New York's largest Saint Patrick's Day parades. It also features a fantastic boardwalk along the beach, terrific shops and restaurants, and architecture that harkens back to its glory days as a resort town for the city's wealthiest residents.
