The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Alcove Troy
My experience was actually ok for the most part during my year living there. But after I moved out on June 30th, they refuse to give me my security deposit back and I’ll need to go through the stress of having my lawyer file a claim with the court. RIDICULOUS!!! P.S: there were no damages and I didn’t owe any rent. So be careful, people!!
Property Manager at The Alcove Troy, Responded To This Review

Please know that we’ve taken care to ensure everything was handled appropriately, and communication was sent to help clarify the details. We understand how important it is to feel confident during these transitions, and we’re here to support you if anything still feels unresolved. Don’t hesitate to reach out directly, we’re happy to assist and make sure everything is fully addressed. Best regards, The Alcove Troy Apartments Management Team.
The apartment complex is quite nice. The staff is helpful. The leasing office is now open, and residents can use the lounge and fitness center. The laundry room is also open, but it has only two washers and two dryers. One thing to note: utility bills can be high in the winter. For my utility bill in February and March 2025, I paid over $300 for utilities (electricity, water, sewer, etc.). I also discovered that all units in the same building share a single utility meter.
Property Manager at The Alcove Troy, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad to hear that you’re enjoying the quiet community and have had a positive experience with our team and amenities. We appreciate you noting the details about utilities as well. While each building does operate on a shared meter system, we’re always looking at ways to improve transparency and comfort for our residents. If you ever have questions or would like to discuss your utility usage in more detail, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the office. We're here to help! Sincerely, The Alcove Troy Management Team
I moved in here in October '23 and moved out in June '24. My move in process was messy as they were in the midst of changing management. Since I have been here, management has changed more than once leading to a plethora of empty promises. The amenities were constantly in poor condition, the apartment A/C was constantly breaking, the pool was never open the entire time I was there and the laundry room is still under construction and unavailable with no solution in sight. The team is poor at communication and very unorganized. I spoke with William the property manager to resolve some of the issues I have had but I have heard nothing from anyone. Very disappointing management. If you are unsure whether to get a lease here, find somewhere else. Do not trust this place with your money.
