Tanglewood Apartments

I lived here for 5 years. At first, I loved it, but it quickly became a cheap place to stay while in college. Management is terrible to work with, they don't follow through on any of their agreements. We were put in a hotel while they remodeled, with the agreement they would fly compensate us for it. They called on the last day after we had checked out to tell us it would be 2 more days, then only paid us for 1/3 of the cost. The shower wall was routing away for the last couple years and they just kept regrouting it instead of replacing it. When I moved out, they said it was molded and had to be knocked out. The maintenence guy who did the regrouting also used the kitchen shears from my husband's professional knife set and destroyed them. When I called the office, they said we shouldn't have left them on the bathroom floor (they were in the kitchen...). The parking is horrible, we've had to park at businesses because there were no open spots. The laundry room is never available since there's only one facility for the whole bottom set of buildings. There's a laundromat across the street though, so that helped. There have been several times that our cars were broken into, people were attacked, and there is constant noise from being located right on 169. Even while I lived there, I talked several people out of moving there. I've lived in worse places, but I still would not recommend this one!

I lived here for two years a few years ago, and am thinking of moving back in. The apartments are spacious and beautiful. Never had any problems with neighbors or management. Loved having a fireplace and the closet space. Had to have my locks changed due to personal matters, and they promptly changed them within hours of my request. Pools were always clean. It is by far the best apartment complex I have ever lived in, and I hope they'll have me back despite the damage my roommates did our unit.

We've had several leaks and problems with our neighbors but management has offered us no solutions. They have been only rude and inconsiderate for the length of our stay. The grounds look beautiful but do not reflect the actual state of the compound or the craftsmanship of those that keep it up. I do not recommend these apartments and the reviews on other websites do much to add to my complaints. Listen to the people, go elsewhere.

The pictures and videos do not match the actual apartments. We moved in from out of state and the apartment stunk like cigarette smoke and animals. There was water damage on the baseboards. The management was totally unwilling to help or work with us and seemed much more concerned about not being liable and getting their paycheck than actually helping us feel comfortable. DO NO RENT FROM THEM! MANAGEMENT IS A NIGHTMARE!!
