Property Ratings at Talavera Apartment Homes
My experience as a single female in her 20s living at Talavera was horrible. I did not feel safe and had numerous issues. My air conditioning didn’t work, the apartment had cockroaches and insect problems, I installed security cameras that were frequently tampered with, and my neighbors had many people coming and going at all hours, to name a few of the issues. The final straw was when I returned from vacation and my door had been kicked in and apartment broken into. I immediately moved out because I no longer believed I was safe and Talavera charged me rent for an additional 30 days and a termination fee equal to 2 months rent for breaking my lease a few months early. They made no accommodations for my situation, took no responsibility and just told me that crime is not their problem. I would not recommend this apartment complex under any circumstances.

Unfortunately, crime has no zip code, and we are not immune to such activity despite the many deterrents we have in place. We also offer complementary pest control every week, but it doesn't appear we received any requests from you. We have been living here about a year and a half. Moved from a 2BR to a 3BR. Well kept nicely landscaped grounds. Very friendly staff and accommodating. Convenient shopping and restaurants. Really enjoy living here.

I've been living at Talavera for the last six months and feel at home here. I relocated from Central Oregon and Rebecca helped facilitate the transition, which eliminated so much stress. Thank you! Management is extremely professional and kind. Maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner. It's family and dog friendly with well kept grounds. Overall, this is a wonderful place to live!

I enjoyed my year and a half at Talavera. The complex was quiet, the staff (especially Jacquie) was friendly and helpful, and the landscaping and pool were nice to look at each day on my walk to work. I would recommend Talavera to anyone in Santa Fe.
I recently moved here to Santa Fe and was only guided by online reviews and pictures. Once I was contacted by Rebecca, the process was explained to me and was truly SMOOTH and EASY! I was able to complete all documentation and payments online, including utilities transfers and deposits. This was truly the most efficient and organized move I have ever done. On Day 1, I was able to walk into the front office, introduce myself, and pick up my keys to my new apartment! The apartments and landscape are beautiful and the residents are friendly. The staff is welcoming and are quick to fix any problems that may arise. I would recommend these apartments to anyone who wants to live just outside the busy sections of Santa Fe but within 5 minutes to everything you need including stores, food, malls, schools, public transportation and the freeway. Moved here after a long search. Visited the grounds and the model unit with the staff, they were great! Answered all my questions, made me feel welcomed and at ease. The office was always clean, grounds are well taken care of. This is what attracted me to Talavera. The cleanlisness. I moved in when they said I could, they are on top of everything! It was made very easy for me and my daughter! The little park on the property is great. The apartment itself was tidy, anytime you call they answer and get things fixed right away! The staff is always smiling and welcoming. I'm glad I made the decision to move here. It's nice and quiet when it needs to be. The neighbors are friendly, parking is plentiful. My daughter and I are happy!!
Very nice place to live. The walls and floor seem thick enough to drown out outside noise. The rates are comparable to rates in Albuquerque. The gym is maintained and serviced by a technician. On site maintenance has been responsive to my requests. Parking spots can be full at times, so a bit of a walk is something to keep in mind. Several families live here so a good chance for your children to make friends. There was a sugar ant problem in my unit but that seems to be resolved now. Management may have sprayed and front office gave me ant traps.
I just move in, in July. The apartment was not ready on time and still had a lot to fix. Maintenance uses shortcut, but neighbors are friendly. Pool is always crowded, playground is nice. Easy access to main roads.
My family and I moved from out of state about a year ago with no idea of where we should live in the city. We chose this apartment based on it's location close to my Husbands job. We basically were shopping for apartments with only pictures to go off of. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and functional. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with scraped laminate floors that look like hardwood. The grounds are well kept with two play grounds, a pool and very dog friendly. Halfway through our lease we found out we were pregnant and decided that we would need a bigger apartment. Management was eager to help us and we had no problem getting into a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom. Management have always been very professional and extra helpful which we have never experienced before living in apartments. There are some things that we have a few issues with in the actual apartment like how things are built or put together. If something breaks though the maintenance team is quick to come and fix the problem. Overall this is an amazing complex to live in and very family friendly!
Overall, I think this apartment complex is great! The area is safe, the property is well-maintained, and it is located in a very convenient area for me. The only real "issues" that I have with my apartment is that the major appliances are a bit more out-dated than my previous apartment and there is no lighting in the main room and bedroom. Otherwise, the rent is reasonable and the apartment is lovely. I would definitely recommend it to others!
I just came from Spain to work in Santa Fe and I think that to live at the Talavera apartments is the best option lo live. The price is good and the quality is high!
