The tidal creeks and marshes once used as hideouts for treasure-hungry pirates (including Blackbeard himself) now make up the scenic landscape enjoyed by South Myrtle Beach residents. A few miles down South Carolina’s Highway 17 will transport you from the tourist-filled streets of Myrtle Beach to the coastal properties of Murrells Inlet. This quaint fishing village is known for show-stopping flavors that make it “The Seafood Capital of South Carolina.” Each day fishing and shrimping boats deliver boatloads of fresh seafood to be cooked up at local eateries soon after.
During the day, the beaches of Murrell Inlet offer a more secluded sun and surf than Myrtle Beach. Residents can enjoy expert fishing tours, adventurous water sports, or simply a day of sunbathing on the warm coast.

I am impressed with everything about this community more specifically, the staff and management. I have found them to be incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the buildings are exceptional - well constructed, excellent floor plans. If you are looking for a place to call home, Swells Cottage is the place!
Being new to the area, I took a gamble on such a new community. The gamble paid off big time! The chill atmosphere combined with a caring and knowledgeable staff allows me to feel like it is home sweet home. The grounds and amenity center of the neighborhood are beautifully kept. I highly recommend this wonderful place!

Abby was so great during the whole process. She explains everything and leaves no surprises. She even stayed an hour late to ensure that we could move in on our move in date. She is the BEST! As for the home. It is very cute and spacious. 10/10!!!!

Moved in December 1st and I am without a functioning dishwasher for 3 weeks!!! Instead of replacing my dishwasher for one that works, the facilities guy made an appointment for December 20th with the famous window of 8am-12pm. So now me and my three kids get to sit and wait for an appliance person to assess the broken dishwasher. I guarantee it does not get fixed the same day. The complex refused my request for a new replacement dishwasher 10 days ago. My family of five have been hand washing dishes since Dec 1st. Happy Holidays to us. This place is not concerned about the residents once they sign the lease, they are not thinking outside the box or going above and beyond for their tenants. I know for a fact they wouldn’t hand wash dishes for their family of five for 3 weeks and not be just as frustrated. This place is mediocre at best.
