The small city of Hermiston is a fairly isolated community in northeast Oregon, located at the junction of interstate 82 and 84 just a few miles south of the Columbia River. Though the city itself is home to less than 20,000 people, Hermiston is the largest city in Eastern Oregon, making it a major economic and cultural hub for the region, and thousands of people from the surrounding areas commute.
