Property Ratings at Sunchase Apartments
Do not waste your time and move along. This property is ROACH infested and RUN DOWN! The assistant manager acted as if seeing roaches was no big deal. The apartment unit was run down . Vents didn’t work in bathroom, the baseboards were peeling and coming up, holes in the wall,etc.. For them to charge so much up front to move in, they sure don’t care for the property. Oh and LOTS of roaches. Luckily I ended up not moving in! Would never recommend anyone to the apartment complex. Tear them down and start over!

I lived there for 3&1/2 years, to get through school. Maintenance is always quick, however they don’t always fix the issue. I had my hot water heater bust and had the carpet pulled up for over a week because they couldn’t fix it right. Couldn’t shower at home because the apartment above me had a leak and the popcorn ceiling would fall into my tub. They told me it was just a painters job as I tried to explain to them it was a leak because it hadn’t always been there. Took me calling about the same problem three times for them to actually look into it. And fixed the leak days later. I had to have mold tests done every month because of the smell and how often I got sick. Always negative but never figured out what it was. Since moving out I haven’t had an issue. They never fixed the things like cabinets they were loose or scuffed from the day I moved in. Office management has turned over in the time I’ve been there and while the office workers are nice, they try to sugar coat things so it doesn’t seem as intense as needed. For example, when I told them I wasn’t renewing my lease and I was asked why, I explained these incidents and that nothing has ever been done to be fixed. She wrote, “personal” as the reason I was leaving. Not professional or true. It just wasn’t worth the fight anymore.

I lived here for two years, ALWAYS had some sort of bug problem and toward the end BEDBUGS. My boyfriend's truck was stolen, and then broken into when we finally got it back. It takes an act of congress to get anything done, I had to ask several times to just have my apartment sprayed for bugs. I found out they dont spray the entire apartment either, they only spray the kitchen and bathroom for "privacy reasons", which makes no sense because I had a ton of bug issues in my bedroom and living room. I asked to have my air ducts cleaned when I moved in because I was having severe asthmatic issues and all they did was put an air freshener by my AC unit. That should have been a sign. They will try to squeeze every penny out of you, telling you that you owe fees for "this and that" when you leave. I left early because I bought a house, so I understood I would have to pay an early termination fee. I took care of that, three months' rent later I still magically somehow owed an extra $200 for "cleaning fees". I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
management is always very nice and helpful. Maintenance is prompt. Its very quiet and neighbors are nice.
At SUNCHASE apartments we were shown a model of an apartment. We weren't offered to see our actual apartment before we signed the lease! NEVER do that! ALWAYS go look at YOUR apartment!!! They say the apartments are old, so there are no lights in the living room or bedroom. There is a switch to the outlet for a lamp! The a/c unit was old and it kept running so our electric bill was $199.43!!! Never has it ever been that high! The indoor pool is good! The air in that room is humid while you are standing, but fine when in the pool. The fitness center is 3 machines and a tv and mirrors. The laundry facility is good, but I hate paying $1.50 per machine everytime I need to was clothes! I am grateful that we have a place to live, though.
