Property Ratings at Summit at Sausalito
I've really enjoyed my new place at Summit at Sausalito. The location is incredible being so close to San Francisco and Mill Valley. And of course Target ;) The apartment is spacious and I particularly love the views of Richardson Bay and the Headlands. The in unit washer/dryer is also incredibly nice to have. I look forward to taking advantage of the trail access and other amenities here. The leasing process was really easy and pleasant. There were a couple things that I needed to follow up on upon move-in, but they were handled. I recommend living here!
Best maintenance team I’ve ever had at an apartment complex.
Finding a proper apartment is never easy, but we're truly grateful to have found Summit at Sausalito. It's a quiet community with reasonable prices and an amazing view. Throughout our home search, Kait was incredibly helpful--she patiently gave us several tours and took the time to answer all our questions in great detail. After we moved in, a few maintenance issues came up, and the maintenance team handled everything promptly and efficiently. All in all, this is a place I would definitely recommend to others!
I love my apartment, the neighbors and the staff at the Summit. I have lived here a year and still love it as much as I did when I moved in.
Want a peaceful and beautiful living environment? Try the Summit at Sausalito!
The staff at Summit is friendly, efficient, and helpful. They are responsive and genuinely want you to have a quality living experience here at Summit.
Summit is a beautiful complex. Great parking, views and proximity to nature. Marin Headlands is the back yard and there are hiking trails and space for pets. The neighborhood is great and the people are friendly. The managment and staff are respectful ans helpful.
Incredible views great hiking trails. Overall a nice place to live.
I am happy to be part of this community. Our leasing agent (Kait) was phenomenal. She answered all of our questions and has helped us get our apartment fixed up. The application was easy to complete and straightforward.
Summit has been home to me for 12 years, I have always felt happy and safe here. I think the surroundings are amazing, with the headlands one side and the view of the bay the other side. The apartments have breathtaking views and the grounds are well cared for.
Great place to live. Awesome weather views and neighbors and community.
Today was such a great day! Two friendly maintenance crew members came by to take care of some tasks around our place. They not only fixed everything but also left it shining and clean! A big thank you to them for being so helpful and making our space feel amazing! You guys rock!
Overall a really good place to live, location, convenient to almost anywhere you want to go, and of course easy access to the city! Beautiful views that are still magical to me and mostly very peaceful. I like that a lot!
Super loud neighbors among other leaky issues.Had to move out 3 weeks early because a tweaker shared the wall next me and was loud all night long. Greystar didn't care. Had to pay the thousands remaining on my lease. Avoid.
I'm really enjoying my summit Sausalito apartment the amenities and views!
The staff are kind and helpful, the community is quiet and let friendly. Great space amazing views and wonderful amenities inside and out.
The summit apartments are beautiful and very comfortable! I love the weather and views!
Living here since 2009 ,I can't complain I never had any problem . The summit team was prompt when any matter happens in the units , I highly recommend.
I feel as though I've hit the jackpot moving to Summit. It is everything & more than I've always wanted. The views & the amenities are uncomprobale.
Summit at Sausalito is a great place to live. There are a tenants violate policies, but management are being proactive to mitigate these concerns.
Great response time and professional through the entire process.
I've lived here at Summit Apartment since 2009 and I have no complaints, it's a quiet place with a great neighborhood, I definitely recommend it. an excellent place to live .
I am extremely happy and proud to be a resident here at Summit at Sausalito the community here truly feels like home and everyone around are very warm welcoming and my kids absolutely love it !
I have lived here for nearly 5 years. Since the recent owner took over the property, great changes have been happening. I am pleased they fixed the roofs, painted, and added beautiful signs that make the property less confusing to navigate. I also appreciate the work on the landscape. The maintenance team has been much better new than in the past. Overall, things have greatly improved and I love living here. The views are spectacular and the access to the Headlands is incredible.
I feel lucky to call Summit at Sausalito home, it is near a lot of hiking, biking, and great restaurants, and has a great community. Additionally, the staff are very responsive and address requests in a timely manner. Most importantly, it feels like home to me, especially after a stressful day at work. I really appreciate living in a nice community where staff go the extra mile for the residents.
Lydia, Jose, Calvin and Pork are awesome. We love everything about Summit, the weather, neighbors, perfect location, great view and nice apartment. Kind and friendly staff, they are always ready to help.
I enjoy living at the Summit very much. I have a feeling of community with some great neighbors that I now consider my friends.
If you can afford the rent, it's a nice place to live.
Nice complex, nice facilities, administration needs to be more efficient.
Beautiful property with direct access to the Headlands. There is a very nice community here. I’ve been here 4 years and plan to stay.
This is an incredible place to live. Management is friendly, reliable, and always there when you need them. The amenities are fantastic and the community is nice. The view is awesome and the location can’t be better. I love it.
Been living here for a couple of months and my dog has been attacked multiple times. Requested for a community notice to be sent out and nothing. Extremely unsafe for dogs and their owners, my husband was bit by one of these loose dogs. The management office does not answer the phone and you have to hope that they don’t have a “will return soon” sign on their office so that you can talk to someone in person about issues.
Love the location. Really close to trails and hikes as well as a small shopping center just down the street. It’s nice to see the fog move in over the mountains and see the Bay from outside.

If you're looking for a dog friendly unit near a hiking trail this is all you will love about your apartment at Summit. Must love spontaneity, not order anything online and feel safe and comfortable within your own person. Must not like communication.

I have lived at summit for around 6 months now and here are my thoughts. The view from our balcony is spectacular, I could look out my window forever. The apartment itself is very small and has little storage. The carpets, fixtures, appliances are pretty low end the hallways are dismal. The grounds and amenities are nice and well maintained and the area is quiet with hiking trails nearby. The atmosphere is weird though, passive aggressive notes from neighbors appear everywhere and I heard of instances of them calling the cops on each other for pretty silly things. The management has kind of been a mixed experience. They are friendly and responsive but have grossly misled on on a number of things. For instance, when we were signing the lease, they described a week long project where our patio doors would be replaced. This was actually a three month long renovation where they tore apart the front of the building and rebuilt the patio (big difference and super annoying with a new baby). They also replaced the lock of the building, gave us the wrong keys and charged us $75 for the correct keys. If you are very laid back and love an impressive view and relatively easy commute to the city, you could probably be mildly satisfied with this place. Personally, I’ll be moving the first chance I get.
Without a doubt, the best feature here is the location. Although on top of a steep hill (quite the walk) the views of the bay and surrounding hills are great and there is a hiking trail nearby to offer views to those who live in apartments facing toward parking. Maintenance and upkeep of the grounds is fair to good. The pool and jacuzzi are older but well maintained and clean. The workout area could use a good scrubbing, but the equipment works fairly well. Although most apartments are not very large, they do allow dogs, so be ready to deal with some barking. The apartments themselves are quite plain and since they have added washers/dryers to each unit, there is no storage whatsoever. Overall we have enjoyed this place as our first residence in Sausalito. It is the perfect place to live if you commute to the north end of SF for work.
