Summerlyn Apartments

I have been here for 1 yr and I enjoyed my time there. No issues, or problems. Staff was nice and pleasant when I needed to interact with them. Almost no problems, and if I did it was resolved in 24hrs. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would do it again. Summerly was easy to navigate back and forward to work, shopping and quiet for the most part. Building was cleaned weekly, trash was removed from property weekly and the problems I did have was not apartment related but people related. Even then they were kind, receptive and responsive. You can't change who or how your neighbors conduct their self. That is not the responsibility of the rental office or staff it's how you were raised. With that said I give Summerly Apartments a 5 Star. However some residences need to look in the mirror and reflect on how they are projecting their self before bashing others or Management. I am from New Jersey and relocating to Maryland. Looking for apartments. Called this property and took appointment. They took my email and I double checked for any errors in spelling my names. Then I went exactly at 2 pm to the leasing office. They didn't let me in but said I should call from outside. I did and the woman (I see her from outside) replied that I have not verified my ID when she sent the email. To be honest, I never received any email from them. I even offred to show my ID there. The woman didn't listen and said that they can show the property. I went there driving 16 miles!!! It is an awkward situation for a New Jersian and it SUCKS!!!

1.From the door the under is open that mouse,roaches and bugs can comfortably crawl in .2 the fridge,dishwasher,washing machine and the dryer are all obsolete as in pieces of garbage. In between the dishwasher and the cupboards they have this pile of dirty from mouse poop,roaches and food over the years.3the bathroom cabinets are the worst of all they all soaked and falling off both inside out instead of them to remove they cut carpet to patch them and its still falling off still . 4 the toilet mirror is so old that the iron has rust and the cabinets is peeling off them the mirror itself some parts has warned and still they left it there .5 the blinds are all falling off without being touched. 6 the door leading to the balcony the edges are super black dirty 7. Then when you look at the edges of cooker you will never be hungry again in your life..

I recently moved into Summerlyn Apartments. Since then I have had a couple unforeseen maintenance issues. Not only were they handled timely, but also the maintenance person, Carlos, provided outstanding service. He quickly identified the problems & resolved them in a thorough, professional manner.

we went there around 5 and they said that leasing office was closed already, when their schedule was 8:30 to 5:30 There was 2 women ignoring us, we had an appointment already but they didn’t care about us costumer ,I will suggest the management to keep an eye one them, please ASAP

We have been living here for 4 years now and we had good and bad experience. Office staff is okay and so are apartments. Yes there are lots of cockroaches every where and rats! Parking sucks ! Forget about going out on the weekends b/c after 8. Good luck. No parking anywhere ! You’ll have to park at least half a mile from your unit. Maintenance sucks! Literally call the emergency line Due to no heat. The lady told said they called the on call person every ten mins and no answer. Was w/o heat with children for 3 hours and weather outside was 33. Guess they don’t care. Oh but when it comes to late rent there so quick to ask for that right. Smh.

(IF I COULD GIVE THEM NO STARS THAT WOULD BE MORE ACCURATE) DO NOT DO IT -- THE WHOLE STAFF IS EXTREMELY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND WILL HANG UP ON YOU IN A HOT MINUTE. THE ONLY REASON IM STILL HERE IS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO MOVE INTO BEDBUGS, RATS AND ROACHES AND THUS FAR MY BUILDING DOESN'T HAVE THOSE PROBLEMS. PLUS THERE'S A CLAUSE IN NEW LEASES IM NOT WILLING TO SIGN, THE PARKING SUCKS, IF YOU GET HOME AT 8:00PM OR LATER YOU CAN HANG UP GETTING A PARKING SPOT, YOU ONLY GET ONE VISTORS PARKING PASS AND IF YOU WANT AN EXTRA THEY CHARGE $130 AND IF THEY SWITCH PASSES AGAIN YOU OUT OF YOUR $130. OH, DID I MENTION THE ENTIRE OFFICE STAFF IS RUDE? THEY WILL TELL YOU WHOMEVER YOU'RE CALLING FOR IS OUT TO LUNCH BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO DEAL. ALL THEY WANT YOU TO DO IS SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE THEN AFTER THAT THEY WASH THEIR HANDS OF YOU. AGAIN, DO NOT DO IT, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE TO SUMMERLYN APTS, YOUR BETTER OFF IN A CARDBOARD BOX. LUCKY FOR ME MY HUSBAND CAN FIX STUFF THAT BREAKS IN MY APT SO I DONT HAVE TO CALL ON THEM FOR EVERYTHING. OH AGAIN, DID I SAY THEY SUCK TOO? WELL IF I DIDNT...THEY SUCK!!

Their is ample parking if your not home before 10 your walking a half of mile to get to your unit. The team on site unprofessional don’t care bout the concerns of their tentants. Maintenance comes in your unit with out prior notice. Even notice things missing out of our yet. No strict policies on permits on the grounds for visitors. Oh and don’t even complain to corporate because they don’t care either been making the same complaint since November 2017 either on site nor corporate as contacted me. My best advice is run and go look for somewhere else.i knew it was like this would have definitely signed a lease with someone else

This place is the pits, they want to keep raising rents as if any of that money is going into the upkeep or improving the units. The maintenance crew is a joke as well as the rental office personnel. NONE of them know anything about anything! Ever since new ownership took over it has only gotten worse!! Do not let them suck you in it's all lies and inconsistencies. The leasing office is a nightmare!!!

8-6-17 DO NOT LIVE HERE. I just left from viewing this property and the lady showed me a roach invested apartment. There were roaches everywhere in the toilet, floors, kitchen cabinets and even on the walls. I was utterly disgusted. The excuse from the employee was she didn't get a chance to over look the apartment before she showed it because they were low on staff. I am so glad you didn't get to stage the apartment and I could really see it for what its really worth. This place is nasty and dirty.

Don't live here. It is dirty and disgusting, They have no sense of customer service. The apartments are infested with rats, cockroaches, and bedbugs. If i could, i would give it 0 stars. Spread the word this complex needs to be shut down or renovated.

the mice problem is awful ,also have roaches . I've constantly told them I need exterminating but it does nothing. And I've spoken to my neighbor who says the mice dig through the wall. But it's a quiet neighborhood just the mice and roaches.

I love living at Summerlyn Place Apartments. Very close to schools, shopping, and restaurants. The complex is well lit at night which makes it safe for me to come and go at night as I leave or enter the parking lot. Maintenance always seem fix things on time and when a problem arises management helps me in a timely manner and keeps in communication with me. The affordability of my rent is a huge plus for my 2 bedroom apartment. I would recommend this property to anyone who is considering moving to Laurel, Maryland.

It has a very nice staff...Things get done in a timely fashion.... They always have events for my kids...I've been here for 4 years very nice...

Very nice area. Quite and a lot shopping centers close to walk and drive to.

So, my apartment flooded AGAIN (the fourth time in 12 months). They dried the floors quickly, however, the carpenters did another absolutely lazy job at piecing them back together. I brought this to the manager's attention, with no response. I sent the photos to the corporate office yesterday and am awaiting a response. I will not be renewing my lease, so I doubt if anything will come of it.
