I've been dancing with the idea of moving to Alameda and I'm so happy I did! Katya has been super helpful and I am so happy I took the leap. Her and Terrance have been rock stars considering how busy they can be. The pool is definitely the star of my view, the units are large and renovated so happy about that. Parking can be a challenge at times but during the day its easy to find a spot closest my building. Lot's of families here and its close to schools which makes commuting a breeze! Happy with my choice in apartment!

I’m leaving here in Summer House for 14 years now. As far as I’m concern I like the environment. I encountered several management staff. So far they are helpful in their own way to address our concern..
the office staff are at the top of their game helpful, dedicated and willing to work hard to assist clients with any problems. the maintenance crew is great and knowledgeable
I grew up here at the old Buena Vista apartments when they were named Bridgeport it was a very poor poverty place at the time and over the years it was bought buy many owners and names has changed but now it is named Summer House Apartments and it has been remodeled and our head Manager Jonathon has been doing a great job maintaining the apartments to be safe and keeping a peace community.
When I moved in to summer house apartment 8 9 years ago it was a very nice community to live. But now the community is no longer the same. A lot of burglary theft and vandalism is happening all over the estate nowadays.
Overall it looks nice. But management seems not to care much about their job.
I've only been here about a month but it seems like a nice, run of the mill apartment complex. Lots of families which is wonderful
If a person only cares about the condition of the unit and don’t care about inconveniences for getting the heavy packages from mailing room, finding a parking, security and safety then summer house us recommend for them.
Summer House is a great place to live. When I've called them for anything they were right there with answers and concerns.
Everything in the Bay Area is overpriced, so if you live on the island you’ll save a bunch of money in gas. The appts are nice, package delivery is amazing, gym is average. Overall it’s a decent place and most of the residents are friendly.
I like the apartments specifically the kitchen and amenities.
Overall staying at summer Houses I find it safe and well organized just like any other apartments you go to rent at you will find some nit 100% meeting your criteria but I would give summer House apartments 93% out of 100.
The Apartments are great I used to live here before the gentrification started but I am loving the renovation and the community, the gym and the clean pool where we can finally swim !
The maintenance requests can only be requested in the online portal. The office does not like to take requests and they direct you to the portal.
My experience with Summer House has been great. The complex is well equipped, safe and neighbors are nice. I stumbled upon Summer House during hectic pandemic time and it has been my little safe haven to study and work from home.

I love this place, except the inexplainable charge for Trash. My last bill is $68.00 for me alone?? And I was gone for 2 weeks out of town. So I think that is unfair. And I am trying to get an answer and also trying to contact the Waste Management provider to see if they could help with providing a pricing table.
We have been trying to get our security and pet deposit back since April - do yourself a favor and do not pay last month's rent if you want the money you are owed.
It looks lovely but your mailbox will get broken into weekly.
There is no routine maintenance (Painting, updating appliances, updating carpeting) for current residents. The community just waits until a resident moves out, upgrades, and rents the apartment at a higher rate. There should be a consideration for folks who have been members of the community for some time. Amenities (pool, gym) are often closed. Mail/packages are stolen frequently. The stairwells are often dirty/smelly. The office is often not reachable by phone and follow-up is slow. I would not recommend this community.
We have lived here a year and this has been the single worst leasing experience I've ever had. The service is incomprehensibly horrible, the management is incompetent, and the corporate office is useless. DO NOT RENT HERE

I really like the location of Summer House as it is close to my work. Staff are always friendly, the fitness room is nice and the grounds are very clean.

Lived here for 2 Years! My Catalytic converter keeps getting stolen. They tow cars without anyone signing it off. Any complaint about a neighbor will be ignored. Do not move here unless you want a headache!
Ive expressed myself to both the leading manager and the property manager about my concerns. This property holds great potential if people enjoyed doing their jobs.
We love living at Summer House. The community is well kept. The staff is always very helpful and the location is in close proximity to restaurants, shopping, the beach and parking. We have been here for over a year and hope to stay for a while.
Summer houses is a beautiful community currently being BARELY managed by Greystar. You can feel the change in management as the staff is slowly losing respect for the tenants. Took almost 6 months to receive a $200 refund and it has been over 3 months since a request to replace a microwave.

Summer House is a pleasant place to live overall. The grounds are well kept and it's easy to submit maintenance requests, pay bills, and receive packages in a locker system. Laundry facility quality and more parking could improve the quality of life, but besides that, it's a great family-friendly and pet-friendly environment with apartments that have nice interiors.
The Summer House staff are always very nice, responsive and accommodating. I like the hours for the Front Office and the responsiveness of the maintenance staff.
I currently live here and it is terrible. Will not be renewing my lease!!!
This place is not a good place to rent. Management is terrible; they don't know how to communicate with their residents; they never follow up with your issues. For the price we were paying, we had our light turn off several times because there were issues with their electrical systems. The after hour maintenance service didn't work because they are never there; if you have a problem with maintenance you have to wait the next morning to get it fixed since nobody is there after 6pm. After we moved out, they charged us for carpet cleaning, painting and cleaning even though we clean the place. Before we moved in, they promised us a $500 visa gift card that we never got. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is not worth it! There is very poor follow up from the current management with issues that need attention. Poor customer service! The police are here frequently. Garbage is dumped almost daily by the overflowing trash bins. There is trash often littered in the apartment hallways. The pool is closed or broken more times than I can count. Gym equipment is broken a lot of times. The pictures they post are deceiving. Of course the business office looks nice and the units with wood flooring (wood floors cost more). Get ready for door dings and scratches and parking issues galore!The laundry rooms flood with usage and machines are broken and go unfixed for long periods of time. The payment system is a nightmare. Their accounting is a nightmare. Honestly, shop around. You can find comparable prices and not go through the hassles that occur here. Once you get in...your complaints will go nowhere, hence why people try and speak up online. Don't do it!
