      Overpriced, Poorly Maintained in a Quiet Location

      This apartment is not all bad, but there are far better options available. Maintenance on the outside of the apartments is fantastic. Parking garages are included in the price. WSG is a set amount so you never get a surprise bill. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and safe. However… If you need anything done on the inside of your apartment it probably will not get taken care of. If you have more than one vehicle there is almost no onsite parking. Nothing inside the apartments has been updated in over 25 years. My appliances were manufactured in 1998. The laminate on my cabinets was peeling when I moved in. The blinds in the living room were broken and unusable. The washer does not spin water out of the clothes and has a horrible smell. The heating element in the dryer is going out resulting in 3-4 hour dry times per very small load of laundry. I have not had a working thermostat since I moved in. Initially, management said they would address the major issues including non-functional thermostat, broken blinds, and essentially non-functional washer and dryer. It has been a year and nothing has been fixed. The maintenance guy is young, opinionated, and very rude. He’s the kind of person you want to avoid at all costs. When it came time to renew my lease they raised my rent $250 above the current asking price for similar floor plans they were renting to new tenants. I provided an extensive list of apartments in the area that were freshly renovated and of higher quality, all with rents $100 -$300 below my rental offer. I offered to pay the current market rate and was told they do not negotiate on renewal cost. The icing on the cake was a maintenance worker entered my apartment without knocking or announcing himself without providing notice. I was unaware anyone was in my apartment with me until I heard someone opening and closing doors. It was terrifying to say the least. I’m super disappointed to be moving as it is a quiet and convenient location - but I cannot justify paying $200 above market rent to stay in a poorly maintained apartment with no functioning washer, dryer, or heat.

      Cost more than it’s worth

      Recently got our lease renewal. Pet rent is going up to $35 from $10. Our overall unit cost will be going up about $100. No upgrades have been made to the unit. All appliances are old and cream colored. (I had to request maintenance upon move in to fix some of them) You can see where they’ve painted over wall decals that past tenets left behind. No longer allowed to have decor out front. The only real benefit feels to be the location.

      Under construction and not worth the headache

      Lived here for not even the full lease, the office staff was rude the whole time, the construction was supposed to only take a few months has been going on over a year, and 5 months after we move out we drive past and the building we lived in was barely touched. Do yourself a favor and do not sign here.

      I love my apartment!

      This place is lovely! Staff is kind, professional, and has been nothing but amazing since my tour. Aside from one unpleasant neighbor everyone has been kind and welcoming. The grounds are so clean and staff has gone above and beyond! Facilities are clean and the year round hot tub is awesome! They are welcoming to pets and families. My poor experience with my neighbor is in no way related to the community and all of my concerns have been addressed in a very non invasive, professional manner. I highly recommend Summer Creek if you want a clean, affordable, overall happy place to call home! Thanks for being fantastic!!

      best apartments in the area

      moved here in 2014, just looking for someplace close to Washington Square. the apartments are very spacious, the staff is super-friendly and the area is peaceful (the parks around the lake are nice). I would recommend these apartments if you are looking for someplace better than the usual tiny rooms that are common in the Portland area. I was keeping half of my furniture in storage until the day I moved here( and you have a free garage). good luck in your search...

      Office staff, OUTSTANDING!

      We moved in one week ago. We had looked high and low for a community that offered attached garages and just happened to drive by Summer Creek. Noticed the garages, SO.....we stopped in. We had NO intention of filling out applications as we still had two more months on our current lease. The two ladies in the office (Asia and Rebeca) were more than helpful and very professional. Asia took us through the community, showed us 3 units that were ready for move-in. 1 in which had that garage we were after. One of our "must haves" was quiet and away from any road noise. GUESS WHAT. this unit was on the back of the property, facing the wetlands with nature and QUIET. We have a pet and he loves to watch critters pass by. Needless to say, with Asia's help and willingness to take an hour and a half out of her day to give us the tour, WE SIGNED UP! Yup, we applied, right then and there. If you want professional, quiet, sense of community, SUMMER CREEK! Oh, AND they always have fresh cookies and warm coffee. RENT HERE!

      Best apartment I've lived in Oregon

      Moved here from the East Coast 7 years ago. I lived in Vancouver Fairview, Gresham, Beaverton and Tigard in 8 different apartments/houses. Summer creek is the best one I have lived in yet. Garages are free, maintenance is same day, grounds are clean and the manager knows you by name and apartment number. It's QUIET. No parties or drunken neighbors to deal with. I'm signing my second year lease today.

      Best staff, especially manager

      I lived here for 18 Mos to the date. I am VERY happy to live in this complex because they have the best staff especially manager, Rebekah. She is very friendly, a kind and understanding person and always helpful. Very high level of customer service! Happy Valentine’s Day to all the staff.

      Lovin' It

      My family and I moved here from CA the beginning of October. We found Summer Creek right here on this very site and everything has been great. The virtual tour is amazing. When we arrived and Rebecca brought us to see our unit it was exactly like the virtual tour that you see here. The staff is wonderful, we could not ask for more friendly and courteous people. Upon moving in we had a couple of minor issues that needed to be repaired, things that you would not notice unless you live in the unit, but maintenance was prompt and thorough to do the needed repairs. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The fitness center is nicely equipped, no need to pay for a membership and the hot tub is year round. Needless to say my family and I are very comfortable here. Janiece

      Quiet complex, great staff

      I moved in here over a year ago and have absolutely no complaints. Every time I have maintenance call it is taken care of before I get home. The office staff is friendly and very responsive unlike my last place where I would try calling and never reach anyone or get a call back.

      Feels lije hone

      I'm very lucky to find this place, lost my home 2years ago and was really worried adout living in an apt. Great neighbor's, clean complex, very comfortable. The pool is great , very happy.
