Stoney Creek Apartments

Howdy, this is my review of my home life at Stoney Ct of Stoney Creek Apts, written 11/9/2023. I lived on Stoney Ct in a 2nd level apt from Feb 2018 until end of Feb 2023. It was truly a wonderful place to live. My neighbor and I were good friends, and I suppose that was lucky, but overall, I am so grateful and fond of the memories I made in my home at Stoney Ct. My time at Stoney Ct was thoroughly enjoyable and felt safe. Debby, the landlady, is so nice and makes you feel at home, and listens when you need something, readily available. Maintenance always was helpful and responded in a reasonable time, within a day or so, to accommodate requests and issues. They fixed my sink a couple times, and put in a new washer when the old one broke down due to pure age. No fees. They always gave a notice when they had to enter the apt, and all of the maintenance staff are friendly and professional. Over the years, I had a couple gatherings/parties in evenings and there was plenty of parking for about 10 friends. Neighbors were never overly loud or disruptive. I knew most of my neighbors by sight, if not by name. Dogs and cats are allowed, and I never had an issue with stepping in dog doo. They regularly pick up the loose garbage that flies out of the trash trucks. The apartment complex is quite picturesque, I enjoyed running on the sidewalks by the woods. The place is within walking distance of Blacklick Woods Metro Park, and there's a lot of convenience given the proximity to Taylor Square's shopping center. I witnessed one incident in 5 years where there was a moderate concern for safety, it was simply someone who drank too much and was shouting incoherently. Police responded promptly. Never had any infestations of roaches, and never witnessed violence or crime. When an old car was abandoned in the parking lot, they towed it away when I reported it. Can't remember anyone getting burgled, vehicle or otherwise. Rent has gone up, but it's gone up everywhere. I didn't leave because of rent, I had to move for personal reasons. I was sad to leave. Take a look for yourself if you can to verify how 2023 has been for them, but I can attest I don't regret choosing to live at Stoney Creek Apartments one bit. Deserves a 5/5 star rating. I hope this review helps whomever reads it make an informed decision whether to live at this fine apartment complex.

If you want to live somewhere communication with the office is easy and somewhere the maintenance and staff genuinely care about you, you found it. Debbie kept in constant communication during my apartment search and her authentic compassionate concern for me and my family was so deeply appreciated by me during the stressful times of post-covid rent hikes. Thank you!

These apartments are nice for those transitioning into living on their own and also for those who are downsizing. Management is quick to resolve maintenance issues and they listen to the needs of their residents. Highly recommend living here!

I’ve lived in the 1bed/1bath unit for almost 2 years. Great place to live. Older apartments but well maintained. Debbie is super nice and takes care of her residents. Maintenance are great and friendly.

Can't even begin to fathom the words needed to describe how truly AMAZING this place is. My bf and I lived there for just shy of 3 years, we had to move to Arizona for work, and we were truly sad to leave. The neighborhood is lovely. Lots of kids out playing, friendly neighbors, and it stays peaceful in the evenings. Maintenance is always prompt at coming for any repairs, and Debbie in the office, absolute angel. We loved working with her. She is such a sweet lady and always very helpful with anything. It was a hard choice to make by leaving and we know that if we ever returned to Ohio, we would still have somewhere to claim as home! KylaM

These units are now under new management and are been revamp. They really need it. Thanks to the new owners, they really are doing a bang up job of making there tenants welcome and bring these units up to par and looking so much nicer. As tenants move out, they are going in and replacing whatever is needed. These units are located near shopping areas, bus line, places to eat out, schools, and the freeway which are all very accessible. the area in itself is very good and good place to raise a family. I have enjoy my stay here and am a long time tenant.

Although the rent is a bit steep for my budget Stoney Creek Apartments has been an excellent home for my daughter and myself. The staff is very kind and they act immediately on any issues. I even decided to lease with them again after my lease ended in August. I've been late a few times but and even though they still made me pay fees the apartment manager was very kind and gave me great advice financially. It's comforting to know that she cared.

We looked at apartments all over Pickerington and Reynoldsburg for our very first apartment and Stoney Creek really happened to catch my eye. I love the layout, the convenient location, and the office staff. It's walking distance from restaurants and gas stations, and probably 2 minutes from Wal-Mart. My favorite part is the spacious closets and the balcony. You also can't go wrong with an in unit washer and dryer. Office staff and neighbors are all very friendly. The only problem we had was our window leaking when it was storming which could have been very bad if we weren't there to stop it. After I called the office, they brought an outside company to fix it which did take longer than expected, and it's still not fixed all the way. That was our only problem with this building though, other than that, we love it! I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I moved to Stoney Creek Apartments in Reynoldsburg, OH in March 2015. Shortly after moving my family fell on hard times when my son became extremely ill. He spent 1 week in the hospital, had multiple surgeries, and needed a feeding tube. Because of my son's health issues, both me and my husband had to quit our jobs. At first the leasing managers understood that we were short on funds and were willing to work with us. Thankfully my mother in law was able to pay our rent for 3 months, but in July when she couldn't afford our rent, the leasing managers were quick to file for eviction. Normally this wouldn't bother me; I understand that they have to follow strict protocol. However, they didn't follow the OH law on eviction. The entire process from start to finish took little over 3 weeks. My husband went out of town to search for a new place to live from the week of Aug. 6th - Aug. 11th, and yes, the leasing managers knew we'd be out of town. When we came home, we found 2 stickers on our door stating that we needed to be out of the apartment by Aug. 12th. Not only did we find the stickers, we also discovered that a break in occurred while we were absent. When we called the leasing office about both issues, they couldn't have cared less that our belongings had been stolen or that we'd need to be up all night trying to pack. In total, we were given less than 24 hours to find a U-Haul, pack our belongings, and make the 3 1/2 hour trip back to Cleveland. Besides that issues, Stoney Creek Apartments are all around very disappointing. There is very little storage room in these apartments; just a walk in closet in the guest room and a walk in closet under the stairs. The kitchen in these apartments leave a lot to be desired...while there may look like the cabinets can store a lot of things, over half of the cabinets will need to go towards storing food because these apartments don't have pantries! Also, if you ever visit these apartments, be prepared to see some of the dirtiest and torn up carpeting. When we moved in, my family was told that the carpets had just been cleaned and inspected. To our surprise, the carpets were stained, torn in the corners, and caked with past resident's spilled food or drinks. The rooms are relatively small, and the living room and dining area are oddly shaped. The bar area is abnormally high, so good luck finding bar stools that'll be tall enough. The list goes on and on about how awful these apartments are...

I like my apartment at Stoney Ridge. Only downside is that they are older apartments. It would be great if they renovated. But the washer and dryer are included in the rental price, we live close to the park and you get a good amount of space for the price. Management could improve on increase the response time of work orders but otherwise, it's a pretty good apartment community. Oh, I've lived in a townhome with two small children for two years. Everything is quiet and safe.
