Property Ratings at Stoneleigh
Stoneleigh Apartments in Corpus Christi, Texas charged me for special pest control treatments even though they had a roach infestation before I moved in. The infestation was disgusting, and I had to clean several times only for the roaches to come back. Their pest control person found a nest behind the fridge and said it had probably been there for years. When I moved out on June 11, 2022 they used up my deposit and charged me the leftover $15.09 for the pest control. I told them that I would not pay for the special pest treatment because it was their fault for not cleaning the nest before someone moved in. I disputed the charge right away, but they gave me the run around and told me that they are waiting for the regional manager. Fast forward to almost two months later, and I still have not heard from them and their regional manager, and they sent the 15 dollars to collections. This is wrong for them to do because I have been waiting and waiting on them to get back to me, and they keep pushing me off saying they haven’t heard from the regional manager yet. Now, I will have to dispute the collection once it shows up on my credit report for a charge that I never should have had and am STILL waiting for them to get back to me about. The roaches were disgusting to live with, and I moved out as soon as my lease was up. Now, I have to deal with potential damage to my credit because of these people. Their management is GVA. I am so hurt and devastated because I have been working so hard to be responsible and have good credit. I am a 22 year old student who works full time while doing my Master’s. I am so busy and stressed, and this is the last thing I wanted to have to worry about.
They look nice on the outside but once you get inside they are not that great. They offer updated and classic units that are so overpriced we have a classic but for what we’re paying we should be in an updated unit. The office is no help ever if you call you might as well not they never answer we had to go in and talk to them. There’s at least three people in there there’s no reason for them not to answer and comes to find out the phone number they have online isn’t even the right number. Parking is bad unless you pay an overpriced amount for a covered space. Save your time and money this place is not worth it.

Move here if you want to move into a place where nothing works and nothing ever gets fixed. More often than not, the only parking you'll find is parking you have to pay for, and if you don't live in an easily accessible building, they might con you into buying a gate opener. The old management company was terrible, the new one is mildly better. Save your money for a tent and space heater. It's more convenient, cheaper, and less noisy.

First come, first serve for uncovered parking, no problem. However they allow visitors to park in resident parking and then threaten with towing if you’re not parked in the appropriate spot. There is not adequate parking as it is for residents and then you just allow whom ever to take up the parking when they don’t pay to live here. Enforced parking for paying residents but no repercussions for visitors that take advantage.
We have lived there for about a year and a half. Overall, it is a great apartment but a bit pricey. Pros: Maintenance responded to issues either the same day or in a couple of days. They are really nice and work efficiently (5 stars). We feel safe in our apt complex and overall, the apartment itself is nice and clean. The staff sends out letters to each apt that rent will be due soon. Cons: They have a laundry room, it accepts only quarters (~$3) for wash and dry. The dryer is a bit weak; had to do two drying sessions to get the towels and jeans to dry. Club room wifi is weak, only one person can use it before the connection is lost or the loading is too slow if more than 1 person is using it. The gym is nice; however, the machines are slowly breaking down/freezing and the jump rope has snapped in two (someone tied the ropes together). More litter has been left around the apt complex, either on the grass, stairway, or in the hallway. We have thrown other people’s trash because it was a nuisance. The paint in the apt is sensitive to sticky putty and water; it losses paint or stain. There are a lot of fees, like short term lease fee (9 months and less), washer and dryer hookup fee, parking under a roof fee, etc. The biggest issue that we had was miscommunication between us and the staff. When we first arrived, we asked if it was possible to see the inside of an apt before we signed the lease. We were told that it wasn’t possible, yet we see the staff driving other guest to the demo apt. I asked the staff if it was possible to move the furniture in the club room to create a larger space and we were told no. However, while I was using the club room, I overheard a conversation between the staff and the guests that wanted to rent the room. The staff told the guest that they can remove the furniture and leave it in the hallway, but it needs to be put back. I was confused with the rules after that. When we renewed our lease, we were offered a free club rental. The contract did not state that it must be used in 30 days, and so we put the date that we wanted. No one communicated with us that it was an issue, so we assumed it was ok. We checked with the staff if we still have the room and were told that we don’t have it. The manager told us that we must pay the $200 for rental. There needs to be consistence between the staff and management. It feels like they prefer one guest over the other with the mix answers.
These apartments are comfortable and well maintained and very centric. They are especially useful if you work at Driscoll or bay area. The pools and common areas are great 2 good pools, several charcoal grills and a TV / party room. Front office staff and maintenance personnel are top notch. The are however some important downsides the parking is scarce unless you pay extra for a roofed spaced, the there is no trash collecting service and the dumpsters are somewhat depending on which building you live and finally the air conditioning units are quite loud.
I have lived at Stoneleigh Apartments since March 2015 with my partner and two dogs. I have not had an issue with this apartment complex thus far. The grounds are always clean and upkept. The front office staff are very friendly and professional. Our dogs are always happy to greet them when we go to pay our rent. The maintenance crew are very nice and seem to always be busy. I feel safe and comfortable living here. The other tenants are nice and keep to themselves, noise is never an issue even when people gather around the pool.
I have lived at Stoneleigh Apartments since March 2015 with my partner and two dogs. The staff is very friendly and we have not had any problems. They are very pet friendly and gay friendly as far as I can tell. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment.
It's really roomy and clean. It's also has a nice swimming pool and park.
