Property Ratings at Stonelake Apartment Homes
Loved it here — We lived at Stonelake for 2 years, and would've stayed for 3 had it not been for a job opportunity outside of Lubbock. The property managers (Lyndsey and Maggie) and staff are amazing, helpful, responsive, and kind. The neighbors are friendly, and the property is beautiful. The apartment buildings are a bit older, so they have some wear on them, but we never had to wait more than a day to get maintenance out to solve any trouble we had with the apartment and they did a great job - Lyndsey was great about checking in to make sure our issues got resolved. Rent was more than reasonable for the quality, and the extra amenities like the pool and laundry rooms were well maintained. The parking lot closest to the leasing office is a bit cramped, but there was plenty of parking throughout the complex. I've lived in a lot of apartment complexes in Lubbock, and none of them were as great as this one. If you're considering moving to Stonelake, I can tell you I'd recommend them to anyone.
Lyndsay and Maggie are beyond helpful! Maintenance requests are always promptly addressed and also get texts from the property manager following up on the issue. Well managed, would recommended to anyone looking for a place to live!
The management at Stonelake is great and on top of all maintance requests. The apartments are cheap and quiet and work perfectly for what I needed. I have a single bedroom apartment and the price is unmatched for the amount of room I have. The dock on the lake is extremely nice to have as well.
I have been in Lubbock for 10 years now and have experienced some pretty awful places, but Stone Lake is the best place that I have lived since I have been here . Over the years all I have wanted was to live near a lake but can't afford a home yet. I also have a dog so apartments are harder to live in since there are no yards. I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment at a different property and then moved to a house but it just wasn't what I wanted... I decided to venture to apartments again because the electric bill for a house was outrageous. I found Stone Lake and what do you know... it has a lake! I walked through the complex and immediately felt like I was not in Lubbock anymore. The trees were so mature and the lake view was so beautiful. The office staff actually cared about me and wanted me to feel right at home, and I did. My dog loves going to the dog park and I love enjoying the dock. Yes, Stone Lake has some issues, but honestly what apartments doesn't? My favorite part about Stone Lake is that I feel at home and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who comes here. I hope this helps you if not coming for yourself will!
It has been wonderful living here until we buy a home. We have enough space for our children to play, it's walking distance to my oldest's school, the pool is relaxing and the views are beautiful. Overall it has been perfect. We've had minor issues that have been fixed promptly, the office staff is friendly, the new property manager Lyndsay has really helped make this place feel like home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a little oasis!
Located w/in a decent location in Lubbock, Stonelake has a lot to offer, however the current management lacks will power and maintenance is lazy. If you need a fix, don't expect one any time soon. The elementary school across the street can be VERY annoying. Words of advice for future residents: live as far away from the school as possible as you WILL hear children yelling on a daily basis, also be sure to walk the ACTUAL apartment you will be staying in and make sure they have made the appropriate fixes to anything you see fit! That's all, otherwise Stonelake is a fair place to live for Lubbock, TX.
Lets face it. It's an apartment. It's small, it's upstairs, and it's a long ways away from your car. When your friends brag about making double payments on their home you feel insecure. But hey. You know what? You have a pool, and you don't have too clean it. You have a lawn you don't have to mow. And that beats owning a pool or a law, that you'd never take care of anyway.
