Located on Lake Erie’s western shore, Monroe sits on the Detroit-Toledo Expressway, just 17 miles north of Toledo and 35 miles south of Detroit. Michigan’s third oldest community, Monroe is one of the most historic cities in the state. Monroe was the site of the River Raisin Battlefield, the bloodiest battle of the War of 1812.
Aiming to balance the stewardship of historic preservation with the opportunities of economic development, Monroe is quickly becoming an arts and cultural hotspot. The River Raisin Jazz Festival draws tens of thousands every year in addition to the Monroe County Fair. Downtown Monroe is home to the Monroe County Historical Museum and the River Raisin Centre for the Arts as well as plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. Monroe’s Sterling State Park on the shores of Lake Erie offers residents and visitors access to boating, swimming, camping, wetlands exploration, hiking, and fishing.

Property Ratings at Sterling Pointe
All the paper work was extremely easy to get filled out! Sonya was a huge help, and was able to answer all the questions I had! The apartment she showed me was clean and looked great. Honestly, easiest process I've had yet with my apartment hunt!
Currently living in a lower level apartment that flooded 8/25/23. It’s been 2 weeks without updates. We were not informed that these apartments have a HISTORY OF FLOODING and was not informed that our renters insurance wouldn’t cover flooding . We haven’t received any info on when the repairs will be done, if we owe any rent, and who’s responsible for the electrical bill with their huge numerous fans running 24/7 to dry out the place. The A/c unit is the bedroom closet and leaks regularly. They refuse to help with laundry expenses after the a/c soaked all of my clothes TWICE. The dishwashers overflows a couple times a month as well. There’s roaches. Year round. Maintenance NEVER shows up with tools. Any issue I’ve had they come by, and then go get tools. The paint on the walls is layered on so thick I can push chunks off with a finger, which is from replacing the dry wall multiple times from flooding. This place sucks and is over priced for how small they are.
Great management !! The apartments are nice and remodeled . The pool is always well taken care of.
The management is horrible in this complex, there is only one person that works in the office & 9 times out of 10 she isn't there. They back date items they send out to their resident's, so if you owed any fee you weren't aware of, you need it immediately or you're threatened with eviction. The walls are paper thin, you can hear what all your neighbors are doing around you, there is regularly mold growing around the windows of the bottom floor apartments, the dishwashers are outdated, the garbage disposals are old & breakdown constantly. You constantly smell weed through the vents from other apartments and the hallways always smell like Mildew and cigarettes. It took a YEAR to get my bathroom fan replaced, then the maintainence person left a gouge in the ceiling. We moved in to no batteries in any of our alarms (fire & CO2).
Charlotte Arms is the best community I have ever lived in. The office staff is great. The community is quiet and clean. Would recommend to any one.
I live here for 9 months and I can't wait til my lease is up. I stay on the second floor and the people above me are always loud. The problem is they let there child run jump and it sounds like playing basketball like there outside. When I come home from working 12 hour shift I dont want to continuously hear that. I called the office a number of times and left messages nothing has been done . The police are always call on the premises The neighbor across from me apartment got raided by the police (probably from selling drugs weed) the hallway always smells of it. Please beware of this apartment!!! PS If you have a delivery please make sure you are home and constantly looking out for it cause I've had 4 packages stolen in front of my door.
There all bout the almighty dollar, They dont care about no one.. Management LIES..... Ihate it here...
