Situated roughly seven miles south of Downtown Savannah, Leeds Gate-Colonial Village is a tree-filled, attractive neighborhood bordering Hunter Army Airfield. Its western border, Middleground Road, leads south to Armstrong State University. Savannah State University is also nearby -- just six miles northeast. Leeds Gate-Colonial Village is a perfect location for shopping -- Oglethorpe Mall is adjacent to the neighborhood on its northeast side, and Savannah Mall is to the southwest. For golfers, the Hunter Golf Club borders the neighborhood on its north end.
Renting in Savannah surrounds you with rich history. Only about five miles from Leeds Gate-Colonial Village, Wormsloe Historic Site features a sun-dappled lane sheltered by towering oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The road leads to the tabby ruins of the Wormsloe Estate, a colonial estate built in 1733 by Noble Jones. Jones was one of the original settlers of Savannah, arriving with James Oglethorpe in 1733.

Property Ratings at Sterling Bluff
Poor management, people living here don’t have decency or respect for others ESPECIALLY when parking, car break ins constantly, shootings, bugs, and NONE of the amenities are maintained. Pool is open for maybe 3 weeks a year between random indefinite closings and “maintenance”. Gym lacks any working machinery. Laundry facilities were closed for like a year. Also, the apartment renovations they do between each tenant are so poor and shoddy. This place sucks, don’t waste your money

The renewal process was very easy. I haven’t had many issues living at Sterling Bluff. Arielle and Jessica are very helpful as best they can be. They are appreciated more than they know. Any time I’ve had any maintenance issues, they’ve been fixed in a timely manner. Maintenance guys communicate very well.

It’s very quiet I’ve had no issues with none of my neighbors. Arielle The leasing consultant is awesome and will try to help you with anything she can. Only issue I have is sometimes the trash compactor gets backed up and people leave their trash outside the compactor.

As of July 2024 I will have lived here for 7 years. Don't be deceived by the rent quoted. A new add on is the leader's contribution to "common area utilities" which may vary from month-to-month. Plus there is a five dollar "service charge" each month for the"priviledge" of being billed! Sure this is probably lowest rent facility of its type in the area, but you risk being nickle-and-dimed to death. The local staff are great, but the management company doesn't care about a stable renter popilation.

Not a good place to live. Drugs, loud music etc. Laundry doesn't work half the time.

The complex is filled with summer roaches. When Hurricane Matthew came through it flooded all of the downstairs apartments. Later I found out that this property is located in a area that requires mandatory flood insurance which they don't have. They didn't even mention flooding when signing up like they should of did with every tenant. After everyone being flooded they did not want to pay and provide a hotel until the renovations. They told renters that they can get them a discounted rate. Later they decided to try to get people to sign a waiver that says they are not liable for damages to any personal property when they come in rip out all of the carpet and fix the apartments. They finally decided to pay a moving company to move to storage units for people like 5 days later but it is the tenants responsibility to get his personal property back. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. They are a bunch of liars and they don't care about anyone.
Most importantly I love this location of apartments. It is in the middle of everything here in Savannah. The rates have been slowly creeping upwards and that is the main downside. I look forward to all the new reservations that are occurring. The staff is incredible and the neighbors are pleasant and this adds to why I love living here.
I live in a 3 Bdrm apartment with two other students. Had a great experience living there. The pool and fitness center are great. The staff is friendly and helpful.
