A quintessential military town, the community of Lexington Park grew up around Patuxent Naval Air Station shortly after the base was established in the 1940s. Today, the base employs around 20,000 people, most of whom live in Lexington Park or nearby, making the military a major economic and cultural driver for the area.
The landscape is mostly filled by suburban-style neighborhoods, with a rental market including apartments and houses of every shape and size. A few shopping centers scattered throughout the community cater to the residents’ day-to-day needs, mostly located along Three Notch Road and Great Mills Road.

Sewer issues for over a month. Just go through the history of review on this place and you can see it goes back years. Gnat's, mosquitos, you name it from the standing sewer water. I currently have signs outside my front window letting people know to stay back for at least ten days because of the sewer issue. My bathroom was full of water everyday for a month. The solution was to vacuum it out and call it a day. Then they brought in some huge dehumidifier running 24/7 for a few days in my electric bill and called it professionally cleaned. This place is uninhabitable. Go anywhere else.

They have a sewer backup problem going on for 10yrs from what a contractor told me. I have had sewer backup for 3 weeks. They told me to file an insurance claim to stay in a hotel until it was fixed. They said I could move to another apartment if I paid for it and increased rent. The maintenance is rude when I called about the sewer backup on the weekend. There is sewer water in the yard sidewalk and parking lot. They were going to make me pay for the lease except base housing had it in writing I could leave with no penalty because the apartment was uninhabitable.

Our maintenance team responded immediately and worked diligently to identify and address the cause, while also staying in close contact with both you and base housing throughout the process. We also offered solutions, including the option of moving to another apartment, to help minimize the inconvenience. Our regional office was involved to ensure everything was handled properly, and maintenance continues to monitor the issue closely. We appreciate your feedback and remain committed to resolving challenges like this as quickly and effectively as possible.
I stayed at this property for 14 months and in that time I had 3 different property managers. When my dryer broke it took 5 weeks and 3 separate requests to get it fixed. They tried to raise my rent $300 on the lease renewal to which I said good riddance. You are paying for the 5-minute walk beach access and nothing else.
Just moved here and love the nature. The community is tucked away and very private!
The maintenance staff is helpful and prompt, the community is very quiet and pet friendly. Extremely close to the naval base with a 5 minute commute even with heavy traffic. The only downsides to this community is that it's not modern enough for my taste, but that's just my preference.
