The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Southcrest Apartments
Mold everywhere, especially in the bathrooms, that landlord refuses to treat, but paints over. Windows and screens aren't sealed well, so your heating and cooling leaks. High electric bills because of this. Two washers and dryers for the entire building that so not get serviced or cleaned. Do not move here unless desperate.
I only lived at Southcrest for a year due to work-related circumstances (a long story), but I would have been happy to stay considerably longer. The two-bedroom unit was spacious, they were extremely welcoming to my dog (the doggie waste stations with bags in multiple spots were highly appreciated), the extra storage in the basement was really nice to have, and I loved having assigned parking. Maintenance requests were answered promptly upon contacting the office and they were great about making sure everyone was safe. We were always notified well in advance of work being done on the grounds (the roof, for instance). Office management has been great even after I've moved out - I forgot to turn off autopay and was charged for this month although my lease ended last month, and they were quick to reassure me it would be refunded. Still waiting on that, but they've been great with everything else and I would definitely rent from them again.
They are nice sized apartments for the price that you pay in rent. There are many utilities that are included in the rent, so planning financially for the month is a little easier when you know how much you will be paying for living expenses. The laundry facilities were nice and clean and the additional storage in the basement is nice to keep extra items safe and dry. The neighbors at Southcrest are very friendly, whether you are running out on errands or leaving in the morning, a friendly hello or wave is always exchanged. It is convenient to grocery shopping, restaurants, public transportation, parks, and places of employment.
I lived there before attending college last year in 2018. I’m moving back there this month aug 2019. Reasonable rent and affordable utilities. A lot of the units are renovated and in good condition. Safe neighborhood with much to do. Close to downtown and shopping nearby . I love Kenosha and I’m happy to be coming back. The landlord and management are nice and will work with you to get you into a place. I just can’t complain about anything there. This is the 2nd time I’m renting here. I like the place. Never had any problems there.
A lot of maintenance issues hard to get things fixed around the building when you asked the building manager to fix it been here 3 years a lot of mold in the building.
I lived here for 8 yrs, I have/had no complaints, except when there was drunk for a property manager. Other than that, i felt safe, the lots were maintained, the basements and hallways were clean. The landlord was strict but fair. I had issues with rent, due to job loss, my last yr living there, and he worked with me the whole time. They are nice sized apartments, clean, a/c, cheap electric, and friendly neighbors. Great neighborhood, safe, and lots to do. Convenient near food shopping, schools, public transpo, parks, football and soccer fields, dog walk, and beautiful park with pond for fishing, just across the street. Highly recommended, i would move back in a heart beat!!!
I have lived here almost 2 years now. Nice place. Decent apartments size, landlord is very nice, and easy to work with. very affordable price. The landlord completely remodels every unit before the tenant moves in. Partial utilities are paid, all that I need to pay for is my electric bill. Cable and internet are tenants responsibility. Nice location. Across the street from a water park, 2 play grounds, and 2 schools. quiet nature trail on the other side of the park.
I moved into a "newly renovated" apartment. Little did I know that I would continue the remodel. Day of my move in I still didn't have doors and many other little things were broken. The landlord is not a people person and hard to work with. The basement, where storage is located, leaks during the spring and late winter. Also be on the look out for many 24 hour notices! The landlord likes to put on our doors new parking regulations, rules, or forms that "need to be filled out in 24 hours.... no exceptions. Pleasant right? Looking for a cheap place to save money, then this is the place for you. But be aware that you pay the price.
