Located along the western shore of Lake Winnebago, Oshkosh combines waterfront living with a rich cultural heritage. As "Wisconsin's Event City," this community of about 67,000 residents offers housing options throughout its diverse neighborhoods, from downtown's historic buildings to residential areas near the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus. One-bedroom units average $819 per month, while two-bedroom homes typically rent for $1,091. The rental market shows a 2.8% annual increase, positioning Oshkosh as an economical alternative to Wisconsin's larger metropolitan areas.
Menominee Park spans 109 acres along the lakeshore, featuring a zoo and serving as a central gathering spot for community events. Downtown, the Fox River flows past the Leach Amphitheater, home to summer concerts and festivals.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Soda Creek Estates
Horrible follow up. I applied for an apartment in December, 2018. Did not receive a return call as far as my application went so I called them. They told me I was declined which I still have not been told why. With a credit score of over 720, well within the income requirements, a business professional, and no criminal background, I was shocked that I was denied. I am a single female that would have been the only person living in the apartment. I asked the on-site manager to have the overseeing supervisor, Spencer, to call me and provide a reason for the denial to make sure there was nothing fraudulent that occurred with my application. I have yet to receive a phone call and it is January 16th - more than a month after I applied. I assume they must have people knocking at there door to move in as I am in disbelief my application was denied.
The lady who sits in the office does not know how to run an apartment building and especially does NOT know how to talk to the residents. She has called and left nasty messages and threatened us over things not even in the lease including having a guest over. Ridiculous. We’re renting this space as our home and we are allowed to have any guest we choose in our home. We pay all of our bills on time and are outstanding renters. There is absolutely no reason to be treated the way we have been by this apartment building. On top of the treatment the neighbors are SO loud. They stomp around all day and night but their peek time to make noise is at 4am for some reason. Their dog is constantly running laps upstairs and they don’t actually walk the dog they let it pee literally right on the side walk so all of the grass is dead in front of our building. I can’t even sit outside and I love being in the grass and enjoying the weather. Lastly all of the appliances are cheap. The washer is the lowest quality and doesn’t drain sometimes. Our garbage disposal has been broken for I don’t even know how long and they won’t send anyone to fix it. It constantly clogs and fills with water and now it stinks. You can’t turn the temperature down in the freezer so all of our brand new food gets freezer burnt within a day. The dishwasher won’t actually clean the dishes so I hand wash them now which is extremely frustrating and there is no water pressure. This is by no means a luxury apartment building it was just newly built in 2016 but within two years will surely be a slum because everything is cheap and not taken care of.
Its so hard to find a quiet place to live in Oshkosh but we found this one and its so great. No kids running around screaming and the private entrance and sound proof unit are well worth the money. In unit laundry is also great which is virtually impossible to find. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you value your privacy and your peace.
Well we've been here a year so far. They have SO many rules at this place that are only sometimes enforced. Rules say, one pet under 40 lbs or two cats. Yet there are people here with multiple dogs and even goldendoodles!!!! Not a dog under 40 lbs. people even have birds. Also, you are not allowed to park in front of your garage. Seems fair for the people who's apartment face the parking lot and are mere feet from their front doors. But for the people who have apartments in the back, that's quite a walk and won't be fun in the winter. These managers are rude, and don't care about the tenants. Don't move here. Plain and simple. Too much money for nothing.
I've been quite disappointed with our stay so far here. For the amount of money we pay, only heat is included which let me tell you, you won't ever need your heat on, it's always 100 degrees in here. I can hear our neighbors banging on walls, the list of rules here is a full page long. The staff isn't the approachable type. We couldn't park anywhere near our apartments for days because they never finished the parking lots (just loved being woken up at 7am on my days off by machines beeping constantly). Also had the decorative item on my door put on the ground so they could put up non removable clips to post papers with more rules and nonsense. Not happy at all so far here. Hope things change!
