Property Ratings at Snell Isle
Here’s why you should move here: - water view only million dollar houses get to experience - the maintenance staff and management are spectacular - 2 pools and free parking. - super safe neighborhood and mixed ages on property I have lived here for 5 years, and waited a full year for my preferred unit to open so I could stay longer. I recommend anyone looking for the best place in st Pete to live, this is it! Do not second guess seeing this place.
Moved my father-in-law here a couple of years ago and love this place. The staff is on pointe and the grounds are gorgeous! They have kayak launches, pools, hammocks, fitness areas, bike root etc. There is truly something for everyone! I've been so impressed with the place that I am now moving not only my parents but my 20 year old son here. Would highly recommend!!
We have lived in these apartments for a year and could not be more happy. Where do i even start? The location is fantastic. You are located specifically on Eden Isle which is part of the Snell Isle neighborhood. The neighborhood itself is very quiet and safe and you are a short walk from a bait shop and marina if you love to fish like I do. The neighborhood has a good mix of people of all ages and occupations, which is surprising when you realize that you are surrounded by multimillion dollar homes. My favorite part about the location? Walking out my front door and 100 yards across the property and sitting by the water either to fish or to just sit and watch the numerous dolphins and manatees that make daily trips up and down the waterway. The fishing itself is good with sheepshead,flounder,snook and others able to be caught from one of the several fishing docks they have (no fishing license required). The office staff and maintenance people are always helpful when I need them, which is a rarity. They come and change lightbulbs, unclog drains, etc. I rarely have had to wait any substantial amount of time. The apartments themselves are nice, reasonably updated and well laid out. Our kitchen is amusingly small, which can get aggravating at times, but is not a huge issue. I have read some people talk about the Roach "problem", there isnt one. That isnt to say there are no roaches, there are, but this is Florida and they are occasionally going to be found. We would have one every 2 days, which was annoying, but no different than any other part of Florida, it's a fact of life here and you learn to live with it. My only complaint was the strict towing policy the apartments have. If your car is found without its sticker or your license plate is out of date they will have your car towed, however, they did give you a fairly substantial amount of time to get it fixed before it is hauled off, so I really cant complain too much. Overall these apartments are wonderful and I am only leaving because of a job opportunity, otherwise I would most likely live here until I was ready to buy a house.
I have lived at Snell Isle Apartments for almost a year. The office staff has been accessible, very responsive and knows the residents. The team consistently maintains the property by cleaning walkways, dusting ledges and even cleaning the outside of resident windows. The grounds are meticulous and continually groomed. There's a staff member who daily perfectly straightens the pool chairs after he raises and lowers the table umbrellas, morning and night. When I've submitted a maintenance request, they have always responded within hours. I have especially enjoyed how quiet the property is - inside and out. I rarely hear my immediate neighbors, thanks to the concrete walls and floors. I enjoy having a washer/dryer included in the unit, saving the rental fee. But my favorite part of living here is the nice neighborhood and water view. I enjoy running on the sidewalk alongside the water, which is lit at night. Since I've lived here they installed a kayak launch and created an inside bike storage room. I am moving for personal reasons, but before I leave, I wanted to share this for others to see. I rely a lot on users' reviews and I hope this helps others in their decision-making.

My husband and I chose Snell Isle Apartments because of the quiet, water views, safe, family-oriented neighborhood and of course, the close proximity to downtown! Living here is like being in paradise; we consider ourselves very lucky to get to sit on one of the three large docks or lie on one of the 5 hammocks and watch the gorgeous Florida sunset every evening... However, one of the major, unexpected bonuses of this community is the overwhelming friendliness of our neighbors! We recently got a puppy and have met SO many new, wonderful people simply because we're out walking her more often. We believe that good neighbors can make you feel at home and most residents are warm and friendly, always stopping to say a quick hello. Whether in our complex or in the neighborhood as homeowners, we're really lucky to have met such great people in our two years living here thus far. At the same time, living here can feel very free and private, mainly because aside from the two pools, there is lots of green space, several bbq areas, fishing docks and other areas for residents to find their serene, vacation-like happy place. We absolutely recommend living here, we are so happy we do!
Overlooking "Smack's Bayou" in St. Petersburg, FL, this large complex is exceptionally well managed. The units are ALL recently renovated. And if anything goes wrong, they have 24 hour emergency maintenance if needed. Maintenance requests (inside or outside) are handled expeditiously with written follow up. Excellent service! This is a very family friendly, pet friendly community. The complex has private parking for residents which is strictly enforced. I have ben here over a year and never had a parking issue. The location provides a long wide sidewalk for walking / jogging / pushing a stroller / walking a pet that runs from one end to the other - guessing maybe 1/4 mile. It is heavily, yet discretely used. Only residents use the facilities, including the walkway. Dog stations are adequately provided - I have not seen an "infraction" since I have moved in year ago. There is a gym on site with cardio machines (treadmill, elliptical) - all connected to a cable TV monitor (bring headphones). There is a complete "Nautilus" type machine, free weights and space to use them or the large ball (not sure what to do with that). There is a nice pool, well secured and for residents only. BBQ facilities are nice and clean (charcoal only). The last thing I will mention is the "Valet" Trash pick up. This is nightly Sun to Thurs. Right from your door! No recycling to worry about (it gets done for you off site), no walking to the community dumpster. Very convenient! This is a GREAT place to live!
