Hi Maryann, We're thrilled to hear about your outstanding experience with us. It's wonderful that you found our team knowledgeable and helpful. We're also pleased you found the apartment beautiful. Your kind words are greatly appreciated!
Management: The other negative reviews about the management here are OUTDATED!! The management has helped me so much here, giving me plenty of personal attention. The maintenance crew is on top of their game, sometimes answering my request the same day. It is clear they care about their tenants here. Property/location: Gorgeous landscaping. Views of Mt. Hood from some units. Walkability is great. Right next to one of the longest public trails in Portland. Across the street from Murrayhill town center with lots of restaurants and such. Units: Unique and lovely floor plans. Two downsides: My unit didn't have a microwave, and my biggest and only real gripe with this place: the walls are unfortunately very thin. You will hear your upstairs neighbor. (I don't hear my side neighbors though, even with a newborn). Know who your upstairs neighbor will be if you are touring. Overall a great place to live for the price! Thank you to the wonderful management.

Skyline (formally Meridian) at Murray hill used to be an amazing rental property. However, in recent months this has all gone downhill. DO NOT LET PREVIOUS OLD POSITIVE REVIEWS FOOL YOU. Management is horrible and was unable to track our utilities for over 3 months, and then sent us a large lump sum once they finally updated their reports. I also haven't been able to consistently pay rent online through our new horrible tenant portal. I also have flooding outside my apartment leading to a culmination of mud covering my entire walkway (something I notified them about when I moved in months ago). Nne of the amenities have been operational at the same time, and parking is now a nightmare after 8 pm. This is the worst place you could rent in the Beaverton area.
Property Manager at Skyline at Murrayhill, Responded To This Review
Hello, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you have experienced with our property. We want to make you aware that we are currently working on a portal audit to ensure accuracy and a better user experience. We are also actively hiring additional maintenance crew members to facilitate the completion of amenity maintenance. We would love to take some time and discuss any other concerns or issues you may be experiencing. Unfortunately, with just your Google account name we are not capable of finding you in our system to reach out. We would appreciate it if you would reach out to us at your earliest convenience so we can help get this back on track. Skylinemurrayhill.cd@fpimgt.com (503) 579-5522
New owners are cheap. Almost non-existent management and maintenance. Clueless maintenance. If they show up at all. Obviously no communication between Maint. and office. Been here 4 years and now it's THE WORST run apartments I've ever lived at. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Property Manager at Skyline at Murrayhill, Responded To This Review
Gordan, thank you for sharing some of your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear you feel this way. We are actively hiring additional maintenance crew members to help improve our maintenance process. We would love to hear more from you and see how we can get this back on track. We will be reaching out soon.
Black mold infested all around the community, that’s why they were sold. No peace, and creepy and poor maintenance. The walls are SUPER thin. This is what my neighbors over the years have complained so much about. We can hear everything in each others homes. There are package thieves, and my ring camera caught their contractors taking them. I can’t wait to get out of here.
All I can say is good luck to anyone who rents in this complex. You'll need it. Once you sign your lease, you'll never have contact with management again. Complaints about overflowing dumpsters? IGNORED. Contacting about neighbors having constant parties till 4am, IGNORED. The only time you'll ever get in contact with management is when your rent is due or your lease is up. This is the worst management I have ever had in 15 years of renting. I am so excited for my lease to be up.
I recently tried to put in an application- they require $140 upfront to apply. They also have a “digital” application (really 1 is digital, the other is a pdf file that you have to print and scan back to them) and they don’t inform you of any said time limit to complete- after getting everything in sent they sent me an offer and welcome letter AND THEN a week later they sent me a “not approved” email. The lack of communication from management has wasted my time.
DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE" I lived there for a year and when I moved out they charged me to paint over the accent walls that they had in there when I moved in and they charged me $1600 to paint over the 3 accent walls. They are ridiculous in the charges when you move out, they even charge for burnt out light bulbs.
DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!! If you want to live in a community where you can rock out to your bass late at night, leave garbage at your door indefinitely, and walk through dog poop in the green-spaces, then this is your place!!!!!! The incompetent front office staff will be happy to ignore your maintenance requests for over a month (it really takes a month to get a lightbulb?), they will only reply to emails when you give them a time limit to respond, and they will not do the due diligence to respond in a professional or appropriate manner. You can hear your neighbors upstairs walking around as though they've invited elephants to visit and should anyone want to throw a party, it's a-ok by the complex!!!! The pool and hot tub are regularly out of service, the complex has terrible irrigation issues and is regularly pouring water down the street from broken water lines or valves. The neighborhood is great because it's in a HOA regulated neighborhood, but even the HOA finds this location to be an eyesore. Slime covers the patio rails and buildings from lack of maintenance and the speed bumps are so high and poorly made that people drive on the wrong side of the street to avoid them. Do you have kids? If yes, keep them close because people in the complex drive extremely fast due to the poor placement of the speed bumps so riding bikes or playing out front is extremely dangerous. The complex is packed with cars and the garages are used for storage (against the rules, but they don't actually care about enforcing rules to make your stay pleasant), so good luck finding parking unless you pay additional $ for a carport that is so slim that you're guaranteed door dings! You're better off living in a van down by the river.
I've been a resident at Meridian - Murray Hill for almost four years and could not be happier. I moved into my apartment from Illinois sight unseen and it was exactly as described, possibly even better, and it was immaculate! There was no extra cleaning required, I just moved right in. The amenities are on a par with more expensive properties in the area, the appliances are new models, and any repairs are dealt with speedily and well. But I would say the BEST thing about Meridian is their staff. Everyone who works there is not only very good at what they do, but thoughtful and considerate, and they genuinely seem to care how tenants are doing. Going on four years and still giving them Five stars!!
My fiance and I rent a one bedroom apartment, and it has been a fantastic experience. Our apartment is spacious and beautiful, and during the hot summer, being on ground level it always felt like we had air conditioning even though we didn't! I never hear my neighbors from inside the apartment, but when I do see them out and about they have been so nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Honestly the only thing we've ever had a problem with was finding parking, even just for one car - but when a paid parking spot near our apartment finally opened up (we had to wait a few months), it solved the problem. So more parking would be nice, but everything else about being here is really lovely. Also, since I see some older posts about the pool and hot tub not working - this hasn't been the case while I've lived here at all. I have never once had a problem with the hot tub or pool being unusable or too crowded to use (I have even had some really nice conversations with neighbors at the pool!) I also really appreciate the programs the staff puts on - they seem to put a lot of thought into hosting a monthly program that is relevant, such as a gift wrapping party around the holidays with provided wrapping materials, or free dinner in the air conditioned offices during the hot summer months. I really enjoy living here.
We have experienced several apartments complex in past five years and certainly Meridian is the best! The floor plans are specious and nice! The staff are very friendly and respond so quickly. The gym area is fantastic and well equipped with separate aerobic room! Every month there is a party for residents to know each other better and have a great time together. Our kids really enjoy and have this opportunity to play with other kids. We definitely recommend this complex for everyone who wants to live in a tidy apartment with great neighborhood and access to several shopping centers!
My fiancé and I have lived here going on 2 years. As far as apartments go in Beaverton, it doesn’t get much better than the Meridian in my opinion. Our one bedroom is very spacious and cozy. We hear very little noise from our surrounding neighbors. Staff is always polite and fixes maintenance problems in a timely manner.
Pros: Nice apartments and Gym. Cons: front office that fails to follow up even when you ask them to. Three times over the course of one month. Noisy neighbors and creaky floors that the office refuses to acknowledge. *Apparently* I'm the only one concerned about noise in the entire complex. My roommate and I are both woken up throughout the night because the neighbors are stomping around. The office promised follow up on what they would do. They've lost paperwork and asked we resubmit documents. They told us they would double check with everyone in the office and let us know if we need to resubmit. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Another instance of follow up gone wrong. I was on a very short timeline to find a place due to a transfer. I wish I had more time to look at other apartments.
We lived at the Meridian apartments for 4 years. The apartment and surrounding facility were nicely remodeled. The power panels were marginally adequate. Our indoor heater tripped the 15 amp breaker often. Most repairs were done in a timely fashion others were ignored. The Hot tub - one of the features that attracted us to the Meridian was useable about 1/2 the time we were there. The pool was shut down for a whole year. People used the pool even when it was closed causing night time disturbances that required us to call security -often. We decided to purchase another home / cheaper than rent which went up an unrealistic amount. All in all I would rate the Meridian a 2/10
I've lived in apartments for over 15 years and this is by far the worst place I have ever lived in. Managers change every few months and the walls are paper thin. Nobody picks up after there dogs. The hot tub hasn't worked in 2 years and as of May 2016 the pool was not up to code so it was shut down. The steam room was taken away and the BBQ grills were removed as well. However, the more they take away the more they charged. Once I left I realized just how bad it was. If you want sleepless nights listening to your neighbors, or if you enjoy smoke wafting in your windows from the "no smoking" facility then you might like it. Definitely not worth the price. If you are interested go there in person, returning calls is not there strong suit.
I've been here for four years and I've had a pretty pleasant time. PROS: Office staff and nice and personable. They respond to your needs within a timely manner. Spacious floor plans. Neighbors seem to be nice and the complex is kept clean and tidy. Two years ago they replaced all of the windows and sliding glass doors to double-paned glass. This allows for much less condensation and heat loss during the winter months. the general area offers tons of shopping and dinning options. Neighborhood is considered to be upscale. Public transportation is also within walking distance. CONS: If you don't drive, like myself, then you're probably not going to want to live here. The property is nestled on the side of a steep hill and if you live at the top of the complex, walking up and down the hill, hauling your groceries and what not, can be a pain. This is a rather large complex and they only have one pool (seasonal) a lot of children live here and they tend to hog it during the summer months. They do offer a small gym but it's rather crowded and finding time to get in is difficult. And the biggest CON....every year (or whenever your lease is up) they tend to raise your rent a considerable amount!
