About SilverBrick Square
This historic building, now known as SilverBrick Square, was built in 1916 and for many years served the City of Springfield as a YMCA. In 1985 the building underwent a historic, adaptive reuse transformation and 99 residences were created, paying close attention to preserving the unique character and detail of the original design. As of December 2017, The SilverBrick Group acquired the property and began a full-luxury renovation, with the mission to create a living experience that combines modern luxury with the history and architecture unique to Springfield, MA.
SilverBrick Square is an apartment community located in Hampden County and the 01103 ZIP Code. This area is served by the Springfield attendance zone.

The business and government core of Springfield, Metro Center thrives with history, culture and people on the go. An urban area with centuries old brick and stone buildings, small green spaces and historically important locations such as the first National Armory, the neighborhood provides wide employment opportunities, cultural and entertainment destinations, as well as moderately priced residential condos, town homes and apartments transitioning into single family homes. With ease of access to transportation, the business district and the shores of the Connecticut River, Metro Center may appeal to young professionals and other workers looking to live close to the city's core.
Metro Center lies at the center of Springfield, while downtown Hartford lies about 27 miles south, with Boston and Providence about 90 miles east and southeast.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at SilverBrick Square
I had an appointment for an apartment that didn’t exist I drove an hour and half for this appointment for them to look at me like I was crazy. The prices are well above what is advertised I would recommend not doing business with this company because they lie to get you in the door!
I really enjoy living here, I am truly seeing a good difference with the new staff i hope it keeps up Cant wait too see what else silverbrick is planning
Great place to live i like it nice n clean good staff and neighbor
I have been living here for about 3 months or so, and at first I was hesitant due to the reviews but I decided to give them a chance and I have love it so far. My apartment is very nice and quiet. And the staff are very friendly to me. Only thing is gym is closed due to covid which sucks but everything else is great
Homeless people live free in the stairways, construction at 7 am with no notice. The appliances has electrical problems. Property manger talks to you like you’re one of her employees (not the good way) they painted the tile with regular wall paint and everything is just cheap. Cheap apartment, parking garage will get your car destroyed and it’s full of rust make sure you get your vaccines.
I have been renting a 1 bedroom here for a year. I also pay for parking and an additional fee for pet rent. The apartment itself is fine; it fits my lifestyle as I like being close to downtown. However, all concerns that I have brought to the attention of staff seem to be met with annoyance and/or statements that take blame away from the building. Major security concern with parking garage - "you don't have to park there." No AC (which is included in rent) during a heat wave - "why is this an emergency?" Mice in our apartment due to gigantic holes in walls behind our appliances, "we'll put down some sticky traps and you can listen to them squeak themselves to death." Okay, shouldn't have put that last one in quotes, but that is what happened. My opinion is SilverBrick bought this property and put some lipstick on it. All the flaws are still there and they need to up the level of their management team to make the tag line of 'Luxury Apartments' fit
I have lived here since December 2018 and it is awful! The turn over in staff is higher than Taco Bell. The building is riddled with mice and nothing is ever done completely. I already had to move once due to water and had my own personal belonging destroyed. The office staff is mediocre at best and very moody. I cannot wait to get out of here and wish I was warned!
