Located just a five-minute drive from Downtown Atlanta, Old Fourth Ward is an exciting neighborhood representing historic charm and modern sensibility. A haven for history buffs and urbanites alike, the O4W (as locals like to abbreviate it) employs smart city planning and creativity to maintain a close-knit community feel in this small piece of the Atlanta metropolis.
As the O4W's population grows, locals prefer to repurpose old buildings than to tear them down and erect sterile condos. Residents love the old-world feel and choose to build around it, reframing and refreshing their natural heritage. The best example of this phenomenon is Ponce City Market, a modern food hall and shopping center with offices and lofts in the historic Sears, Roebuck & Co. building.
In addition to its vibrant, urban vibe, Old Fourth Ward offers residents access to the Atlanta Beltline as well as the sprawling Historic Fourth Ward Park, Freedom Park, Central Park, and Piedmont Park.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Signal House
A beautiful building right on the beltline, with probably the best concierge staff you could ask for, what could go wrong? A lot and it’s not good and I’d urge anyone looking here to check out the recent reviews. I’ve lived here over 1 year. The lack of transparency and communication from management regarding safety issues and next steps is jarring. Imagine finding out management is covering up a major, and what could have been a physically violent crime with no communication or next steps. As you’re searching for a new place to live you’ll see that many building change management and that is just what happened here. RPM, which doesn’t have a stellar reputation, is the new management of the building. Add this on top of the lack of parking, car break-ins, what’s basically a home gym, and the laughable internet service we’re forced to use which is just a little faster than dialup. Nice apartments with incredible views? Yes. Frictionless living as they market? That’s a no.

Hi there. We understand your concerns and sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you're experiencing. The well-being of our residents continues to be a top priority for our team, and we'll always do everything we can to ensure that our residents are well-taken care of. We invite you to reach out to our office directly at signalhouse@rpmliving.com, should you wish to schedule a time to speak with our Community Manager in greater detail.
I’ve been living here for about 18 months and wanted to share my experience so future residents can make an informed decision. CONS - *Management Communication: Honestly, it’s been very poor. Responses to resident concerns are slow (if they come at all), and issues often go unaddressed. *Safety: This has been an ongoing problem. Several doors (including the Beltline entry/exit and garage access doors) don’t close or lock properly, allowing non-residents to enter. There have been unhoused individuals in stairwells and at least two forced entries into units, one involving a robbery. Residents have repeatedly asked for cameras and repairs, but management hasn’t acted. Worse, they’ve declined to update residents on safety issues, saying it’s not their obligation. *Internet: You’re required to use the building’s internet service—no option to choose your own provider—and it costs $70/month. The service has been unreliable since the building opened. Outages are common, and even when it’s working, the signal is weak—making video calls, streaming, etc. is a struggle. Management promised fixes over a year ago, but nothing has changed. If you work from home, this is a big red flag. *Parking: Not enough resident spaces. Parking costs $75/month, but the garage is open to the public. Residents can only park on designated floors or risk a ticket—yet the public can park freely, which often leaves residents without spots. PROS - *Location: Can’t beat the convenience—close to the Beltline, PCM, downtown, midtown, etc. *Finishes: The interiors are genuinely beautiful—probably the nicest I’ve seen in a rental. *Views: Units 06–12 (especially higher floors) have amazing city views. Leasing Team: Leasing agents are friendly and helpful. *Concierge: The front desk team is fantastic—especially the weekday morning/afternoon concierge. BOTTOM LINE - After 18 months, I’ve decided I will not renew at the end of this term. When I renewed six months ago, I did so with the expectation that ongoing issues would finally be resolved—but they haven’t been. I understand that every building has its quirks, but the lack of communication and inaction from management—especially on safety—has been the dealbreaker. On top of that, unreliable internet and parking only add to the frustration. If I could leave early without penalty, I would.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take your concerns seriously and will be reaching out directly to better understand your concerns and communication challenges. We have made updates to our access-controlled systems and provided communication to our residents, and continue to communicate the importance of residents not propping doors open. We value your feedback regarding parking and assure you we are discussing it further with our management team. We do appreciate your recognition of our team, and we are committed to addressing the concerns you've expressed.
This place looks great but there are security concerns with homeless people living in the stairwells and property management doesn’t care! Also, don’t think you get the amenities they promise like a sauna (never built) or the free dinners (no capacity) etc.

Great management team, maintenance, concierge, and amenities! Twice a month some of Atlanta's top chefs and their staff prepare for Signal House's residents an exclusive (complimentary) dinner in our state-of-the-art (full-serviced) kitchen and dining area. Three, four, and sometimes 5 course meals with hors d'oeuvres and the finest of wine and drinks. We're definitely a world community because of our multi-cultural backgrounds. Residents are from Germany, Jamaica, South America, Kenya, Israel, of course The U. S. (Florida, Atlanta, New York, Tennessee, California, Texas, and Washington DC), just to name few.

I've been living here for just over a week and a half, and I have to say, this place has truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment I moved in, I felt right at home. The apartment itself is modern, spacious, and filled with natural light. The layout is well thought out, and every little detail seems to have been considered to make life comfortable and convenient. The complex is beautifully maintained, with lush landscaping and amenities that make it feel like a mini-resort. Whether I'm lounging by the pool or using the fitness center, there's always something to enjoy. The management team has been incredibly responsive and friendly, making the whole move-in process smooth and stress-free. One of the highlights for me has been the quiet, peaceful environment—perfect for relaxing after a long day. It's rare to find a place that balances both comfort and luxury so seamlessly. I’m excited to call this my home for the foreseeable future!

while the apartment is beautiful, there’s one thing that makes me and my husband very uncomfortable with even going home everyday and that is as soon as we walk in the door concierge and or security is sitting right there at the desk. Imagine going home and there’s someone sitting right at the entrance everyday. It feels almost like an intrusion on privacy. It’s incredibly uncomfortable! Maybe they need to be moved to a different floor so that they are not just sitting there like that making people uncomfortable. While I also understand security measures them sitting right there by the door and elevators are not needed. The building is already incredibly high tech with tons of cameras and security which is great. But we don’t like someone sitting right there on the same floor we have to enter the elevator to go inside our home. That’s no way to live it feels like a prison ! Again it’s incredibly uncomfortable! For those reasons once my lease is up we are not renewing! I don’t want to pay thousands of dollars a month to feel snooped upon everyday. I hope they move them to a different floor or something! It’s eery and uncomfortable!
