Property Ratings at Sierra Oaks
More and more units are becoming available due to the most recent run of management being extremely poor. Recently, management sent out notices to remove any additionally installed air conditioners because they were deemed "unneeded/unwanted" by them. They only air in the units is a wall unit in the living room and because the apartment doesn't have any formal ventilation, the bedrooms don't get any air and can warm up to be over 80 degrees when it's hot outside. There are a ton of kids on the property and I won't fault them, but their parents allow them to get away with a lot, including making loud noises after 10 PM quiet hours, but management does nothing in response to complaints. These same apartments, that seem to have 6 people living in them each, also treat their outdoor patio space like a closet, so expect several dozens of pairs of shoes to trip over. The police have been called to this property several times throughout the past few years I've lived here for domestic abuse/disturbance issues, and I once found an empty bullet casing in the main parking lot. It's not safe. This place has severely gone downhill in the past couple of years with management mostly to blame.
Management helpful, timely notify through phone message, timely done maintenance.
Heater regularly doesn't work. One window air conditioner isn't enough. Cockroaches. Slow response from management about everything. Very limited parking. Fairly safe, if you mind your own business. If you have another choice, choose it.
I have lived here for almost 6 years. At first it was going to be temporary, but i liked it enough to not move. Its a smaller complex. I live alone and feel very safe there.
