The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Sierra Del Oro
I rented here for years and never found an easy way to contact management. They almost never answered the office phone, did not respond to emails, and were hit in miss when going to the office in person. If your mail is delivered to the front office, it might take you several days to get it. Several times, I had to contact the associated Del Oro property down the road and ask that they reach out to my direct management. Overall, the front office staff was incompetent and extremely unprofessional. There was a high turn over among maintenance workers at the property, which meant maintenance orders went unchecked for weeks, if at all. It took me several months to receive parts for a dishwasher, and a leaking AC went on for 2+ years before someone actually fixed it. Water damage was still present on the ceiling when I moved. If you live in any units past the dog park, you can't safely walk to the mail room or other community amenities and must share the road with the cars. Very unsafe for people with children. The only positive thing I have to say about Sierra Del Oro is that the neighborhood is safe (minus car break-ins), clean, tons of great parks nearby, and easy access to the mountains for hiking and other recreation. Would be a great property to rent under different management and with a few enhancements to amenities.
They will waste your time and your money! My fiancé and I applied for a 1 bedroom apartment at Sierra Del Oro. We paid upfront the credit check fee and the $200 dollar holding deposit fee! Which we expected. We submitted all required documents and they completed all verifications. We were told over the phone by the office staff once the credit check was completed we would have a response no later than Monday the 7th if we were approved. On the Friday before the 7th we were both sent an email with welcome letter and an offer to rent. In the letter we had a move in date for the 12th. This was the date my fiancé chose because my fiancé works during the week and gets off late when the office is already closed. We were told we could move in Tuesday however this day was not available for my fiancé to take off work so we asked for a move in date of the 12th. We were asked to have the electricity and gas turned on 7 days prior to move in and a cashiers check for the deposit and rent. We quickly made the appointments for both gas and electricity to be turned on and put in our names. We got a cashiers check for the amount we needed to move in. They gave us our new address, our parking spot and mail box number. Two days before we were supposed to move in we received a letter of denial. If they were going to deny our application this should have been on Monday as we were told, not Thursday in the afternoon! 4 days after we were told we would be notified! Two days before our move in!
Property Manager at Sierra Del Oro, Responded To This Review
We apologize for the inconvenience and are sorry that we were unable to accommodate your needs at this time. Our application approvals are handled by a third-party company so we, unfortunately, do not have control over when we hear back. We regret that this situation did not turn out more favorably and wish you the best of luck on your continued housing search
The apartments are beautiful and very clean. They were updated not too long ago. The area is beautiful and comfortable. My favorite feature is having a washer and dryer in my apartment. The ladies in the front office have always been so helpful when I have been in there with a question. The only problem with this place is the parking. You get one assigned parking space. If you have multiple vehicles parking can become an issue in the evening and late at night if you are not already home. If you have kids there is a playground that kids are always at playing and laughing.
If you're considering moving here and parking is of any importance in you decision making... Make another decision. Worst parking ever. Many times at night, I've had to park in a nearby commercial establishment due to the lack of parking here. Do you really want that to be your situation?!?!
Mountain living in the city. Built into the side of a national forest, scenic views with a touch of country. Walking distance to local banks and shopping center, exceptional support staff. Free wi fi with private meeting area. Pools are kept crystal clear and are guest friendly, pets allowed in select buildings. Cabana style apartments next to the pool, individual parking spots close to your apartment. Security patrol a plus.
