Shore View Apartments

While the community has tons of potential, the lack of oversight and planning to the maintenance/repairs and "upgrades" is startling. My girlfriend mad the mistake of signing a lease without seeing the actual apartment that she would be receiving. It looks nothing like the models. The management team refuses to acknowledge the legitimate safety and health hazards inside of the apartment and we will be creating an escrow account at the county for the rent until the proper repairs are completed. 1. The windows in the bedrooms do not open nor do they close all the way. So there is no egress for either her or her daughters bedrooms. Because the windows do not seal there are large red ants crawling into the bedrooms. Instead of fixing the windows, management had maintenance spray excessive amounts of bug spray, which has absolutely not worked. 2. The countertops in the kitchen have cracking formica and in some areas it is lifted a half inch on the front seam where water has expanded the press board. Some of the area where the formica is completely missing they painted the pressboard. 3. The handle of the refrigerator was broken from day one and they would not fix it until it completely broke off. Then it took over a month to get a new handle installed. 4. Light fixtures were missing the covers and glass globes. 5. The walls and doors all had previous damage. They were repairs however none were properly sanded, the entire apartment is full of unfinished patches that have been painted over. The worse part of this experience is the management staff. They are super sweet when you initially meet but as soon as your try to hold them accountable, in a non confrontational way, they are personally offended and have no sense of customer experience or service.
