Shawnee Station

This is the worst place I have ever lived. No one works in the office ever. There is garbage everywhere and it is completely unsafe. Make ANY other choice and you could be better off.

I would not recommend Shawnee Station Apts. Find a complex where the owners actually care about the residents and the property. One pro is I've never had any issue with pests in 19 years.

Very quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to live. The staff is amazing, helpful, friendly, and curtious.

Overall, this is a great property. I love the diversity and the community. This property is in a great spot for all your leisure needs such as shopping and great improvements in downtown Shawnee.

I love living here. Everyone is so nice and friendly. The staff is amazing and very welcoming. It truly feels like home.

The staff and maintenance are friendly and courteous. The grounds are kept free of clutter on a daily basis. I have neighbors who have lived here upwards of 17 years. I have lived here a month now and do not regret my choice of apartment complexes.

Friendly community in a more than convenient location. Office staff and maintenance staff work quickly with a smile on their face always.

READ BEFORE SIGNING A LEASE!!! Do not move here!!!! To start it off so many things have happened that I don’t even feel comfortable saying on here. Other than maintenance this place is 0/5 stars But some things that have happened I will explain: First off: so many things don’t work and have had multiple requests put in for them and nothing happens except getting emails with surveys asking “how did we do” Second : the staff will NEVER communicate.. not email not phone…. They won’t even listen to voicemails .. they send out emails sometimes when the office is closed for government holidays . But the office is closed half the time and they don’t send an email out. Third : this kind of goes along the same lines but if you have a maintenance emergency you better hope you know which of the 10 phone numbers apparently has the emergency number. Fourth: had a small fire in our unit in an appliance and it was smoking for 8 hours and i had to go talk to them the next day while we just waited with our windows open. And the situation didn’t get fixed for at least a month. So many more things I could go on about this place. * gotta say if you see all these negative comments don’t ignore because I did and I 100% regret it. *

I do love the layout of my apt. But it's really old and needs paint and carpet replaced badly!! The breezeways are in desperate need of power washing because they're deplorable and haven't been washed in 10 years.

I like living here for it’s aesthetic. Cleaning of dumpster areas, ground keeping, play area, pool area, gym and game area are cleaned daily or as needed. Also exterior painting and new roofing was completed.

Moved in beginning of the year. Noticed a few roaches in the kitchen. Assumed it was just due to moving in. Turns out it was not due to just moving in. The past few months my family has been dealing with roaches all through the kitchen and dining area. We clean our apartment constantly, frequently take the trash out, and never leave food out opened/exposed. Maintenance sprayed a few times initially, with very little temporary success. Pest control company has sprayed at least 4 times now, to the point that our last treatment seems to have done nothing. Managed to kill 9 bugs in the span of 3 minutes after last treatment. We've had a roach jump into a soup while cooking, sprint across our dining while eating, and a few times they were just chilling in the fridge. Those events on top of killing an average of 6 a day since moving in. We have discussed with the management team potential solutions. One being we could move units at the cost of 500$ and move all of our stuff ourselves. The other is to just keep waiting until pest control treatment works, which clearly has not been working. In addition to the bug problem. I placed 4 separate maintenance requests in to get my dryer vent duct cleaned out. After the third one they told me it must be my brand new dryer thats the problem and to call a service technician out. I had to waste my free service call for him to tell me nothing was wrong with my brand new dryer. 4th maintenance request, they manage to pull out an entire 3 ft duct cleaning brush caked in lint from the vent which was causing my issues. I've placed 3 other requests to get a noise checked out in my master bedroom wall that sounds like an animal walking around. All the tickets have been closed with no one to come investigate anything. To top it all off, about twice a month my front door lock battery dies and doesn't electronically lock anymore. All in all, I wouldn't recommend anyone move here.

I wouldn’t live anywhere else. The staff are so help and courteous, they always go out of their way to make sure this is a safe and hospitable community

I like living here.the new management team are great. Hopefully my concerns will be addressed.

I’m very excited to move in. I have already noticed though that the comments about office not answering phones EVER is extremely true. I have looked at my unit twice already and both times it was very nice and had nothing wrong with it. Maintenance seems very hard working and actually took us on a tour. Seems great just needs improvement on communication and keeping office open when it says it will be:)

Wonderful maintenance and office staff. They are under staffed in the office but Candice works her rear off staying on top of things. Nice place to live

Quite area near a lot of places with a very friendly staff. Maintenance is excellent and so are the apartment sizes. The neighborhood is lovely to walk your dog too and best part is I don’t have to let my faucets drip during the winter.

A great place to live. New management are doing a great job. Been here 10 years, seen many many managers come and go. But overall it's a great place to live. Close to many shopping stores like Walmart and Target. Plus some mall like stores.

Maintenance never gets done. Management doesn’t care.

I’ve enjoyed living at Shawnee Station. It is close to shopping and schools and still quiet and peaceful. Maintenance is great and we are excited about our new management.

Great experience. Will utilize the pool this year. So far everything is going great. Have great neighbors! A quiet place to live. Been here going on 10 years. Don't have any plans of moving. Very comfortable.

Just not satisfied with the iapartment, thermostat and lock system. Either has not worked since day one

Lot's of recently upgraded apartments and they have really improved the look and feel of the property. The new management has made a lot of improvements, looking forward to more

We’ve already seen police with assault rifles out, looking for someone(s). Domino’s doesn’t deliver here for safety reasons. Hopefully criminals don’t ruin our community.

I do not recommend anybody moving into Shawnee station apartments. Work orders take forever to get completed because there was another issue with a garbage disposal that took three months to fix. Again they still kept closing out the work order.

On everything I have rated excellent on and the manager and assistant..are very understanding and very affordable.

This place is horrible. Worst I’ve ever lived. The neighborhood is disgusting, they don’t fix ANYTHING and my lease is almost up, the staff is horrible, and it’s way overpriced for the poorly put together buildings. They just got new management and now there’s a fee when you pay rent, which is ridiculous. Do NOT move here.

Keep Looking, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! 5 managers in 2 years. Air Conditioning has been out since August. Police are here 2 or 3 times a day.

This place is HORRIBLE! We have lived here for four years- and in the last six months things have gone down hill. They have horrible records keeping & they will post notices that you owe money when you do not. We have never, ever, paid out rent late and yet we got an eviction notice?! The office staff (I'm pretty sure all they have is one temp & a manager) is horrible. They come and go as they please- not as the business hours are listed. They do not ever answer the phone, and they do not return phone calls. Good luck. The property has become very run down. In the past we would get a carpet cleaning with every new lease we signed- that is no longer. I personally think that's disgusting.. But I'm not going to spend my own money to fix up rental property. Maintenance is slow. Very slow. They knew we didn't have a working sink for days. We ran out of dishes, we couldn't cook food. Finally when I called to ask when my lease was up someone magically appeared five minutes later to fix the sink. Any positive review left on here was left by the staff of these apartments. There is NO way anyone enjoyed this place that much- even when it was decent.

I like the apartment I live in, it is quiet and so peaceful at night. Large bedrooms, fireplace for winter season which I love. Large courtyard, pool, gym. The staff is really helpful and give feedback if there are any concerns. Shopping area is walking distance and restaurants are close by. I love my apartment because this is the place apart from others that is meant for me.

Shawnee Stations Apartments is the best place I have lived at in a very long time. They are on top of maintenance and landscaping. If you put in a work order its fixed in one to two days. There's an onsite pool and gym and the people in the the office are super nice. I would recommend it if you're looking for a great place to live.

Maintenance takes up to 3 weeks to fix something. Their pool was barely open all summer. They just stained our porch... well only the rails and the part you can see from the street. Leasing staff is awful when it comes to fixing problems, especially a laundry door that I put in to be fixed and fell on my 9 month old child. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The new management is wonderful, did I say wonderful. I can say I'm proud to live here and fill very safe. The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to my needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise .The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. I live alone here and could not feel safer anywhere else....a beautiful neighborhood with parks with a lot of shopping, restaurants, transportation and schools. It offered amenities that most communities did not."
