The building is not kept clean. On the weekends, huge parties are held at the pool by 20-somethings, leaving garbage and bottles all over the place. The noise levels can be substantial. This is supposed to be a nonsmoking property, but I smell smoke all over the building. There is pot-smoking at the pool. Don't trust the management with the move-out process. Document everything, including the conditions of when you move in and move out. I moved out and had my apartment professionally cleaned. The apartment was cleaner than when I moved in, but since no one was available when I moved out, I couldn't witness the walk-through. I was charged for a cleaning and the carpet was replaced by management, even though the only problem was furniture indentations from furniture - a normal wear-and-tear consideration at any other complex.

I’ve have problems since day one. As I’m writing this my AC is out for the 5th time. The 4th time it went out, the emergency maintenance tech didn’t call me back and myself and child had to go all night without AC in the middle of summer. I got no apology or anything. The trash is always overflowing and the parking garage smell is a mix of cigarettes/pot and garbage. Residents don’t pick up after their dogs (even on the inside of the complex) and parking is a complete joke. They don’t enforce towing so prepare to have the parking spot you paid for, being used by someone else. I regret the day I moved in and I’m actively counting down the months until my lease is up. Don’t let the fact that these apartments are new trick you into believing this is a decent place to live…it’s not! 0/10 don’t recommend.

We do apologize your stay has not been the best. Reviewing the emails, the team has apologized for the AC issues you have been having and we have been in constant communication with you during the issues. Unfortunately, even new AC units can have issues. Residents have the power to tow anyone in their spot and if you need the information to do so, we would be happy to assist you. Dog poop can be an issue and the team is actively picking it up when we see it and do morning grounds, but if you know who is doing it, please let us know. Please contact the office to discuss the parking and dog poop issue. We will actively stay in contact with you on your AC issue.
The new management is not doing their job. Myself and other residents are seeing and smelling cigarette and pot smoking in the buildings/grounds. Trash not being taken out. The apartments for some residents have their counter tops peeling off in the kitchen, showers backing up and no hot water at best luke warm. They have boilers not hot water heaters, which means you all share the hot water. Mind you these are brand new apartments. Plus, be prepared to pay over $100 for common area electric. That's on top of your own apartment electric. Not a place I would recommend.
SeventyOne15 McDowell has been such a pleasant experience! moving can often be a hassle, but the leasing office was very helpful and laid out all the steps very clearly, making everything go smoothly. since the move, i’ve been enjoying all of the amenities - a resort style pool, fitness center, and clubhouse (with a complementary coffee bar)! it is also helpful that i got a free spot in the parking garage. i noticed that most places in the area are charging residents for just one spot, but seventyone15 offers a free one with your unit! overall, my time here has been positive and fun and i would recommend living here!
