7th & G is a fine place to live, rent is pretty expensive though. If you have the money it's a good spot

Lots of water issues in the building. Communication is sometimes poor with management staff.

I'm on a short term lease because I am remodeling at my condo. Everything from lease to move in to maintenance requests has been smooth. Staff is rapidly responsive and helpful. Building is well kept and safe.

7th and G loft units have unique layouts that are spacious and well-maintained. From the application process to moving-in process, I was highly satisfied to the degree I am writing this review although I hardly ever write reviews. This apartment has everything I was looking for at a reasonable price at a great location inside the Gaslamp area. I highly recommend this place to whoever looking for a place in this area. Also, Eric who assisted in the application and move-in process made the entire process super simple and fast!

I have lived here for almost 3 years. Eric and his staff are wonderful. They are responsive, sensitive to your needs, and very kind people. The condition of my apartment was great and at a reasonable price given the excellent location. This complex provides easy access to most freeways which makes the commute to work easy. The cleaning staff always does a great job of keeping the common areas clean. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place in Downtown!

My partner and I toured several communities and apartment complexes to find the perfect fit. Items on our list were price, apartment layout, amenities, community, parking (being in Downtown, a must), and others. 7th & G ticked all those boxes and more.

Prior to 7th and G, I had lived in the suburbs for years. Due to a new job, I decided to move to downtown San Diego. City living isn't for everyone, and I certainly didn't think it was for me. Having a platform loft studio with a balcony definitely make me feel like I am living my best life. It does get loud on weekends, but that is expected when moving to anywhere this close to night life. Being walking distance to everything is something I would recommend everybody experience at least once in your life. All of the staff here at 7andG are incredibly nice, and the maintenance team goes above and beyond. The apartments are all very well insulated, so you don't really hear your neighbors at all. Residents here tend to be young professionals. I wish I lived here right after college; better late than never!

I wish I would have known before moving in here that I would be listening to the loudest construction that goes on everyday Monday - Saturday starting at 7am. I have asked the office a countless number of times to have it at least start at 8 am and it never happened. I am finally moving out because I can’t deal with it anymore - especially since I work remotely. The cost is not worth listening to this every day

Excellent management team that responds quickly and professionally.

I'm into my third year of staying at this property. I have done extensive research of the best deal rentals in this area and every year I realize I'm in the best place possible and I renew my lease. Laura and Eric have accommodated me in transferring units when I was ready for more space and have looked out for me in anything I needed. The maintenance has been very responsive and flexible to my inflexible availability to have repairs, which have been minimal needs. The property is kept clean and my neighbors are polite. I have lived in two units so far and have never had any noise issues in either day or night as my sleep schedule varies working night shift. I feel safe and stable here and only look forward to moving only when I decide on a property to purchase.

This is a great, safe place to live! The building is in amazing condition and you are in walking distance to everything!

Although the staff were extremely kind and helpful in the application process, the condition of the actual unit were very poor. The unit was not cleaned or repaired prior to move in. There is no insulation on the street side apartments so it sounds like people are IN your apartment when outside.

Great place to live, excellent location and clean and modern. Highly recommend.

Great location. The units are nice. Front office staff is friendly and helpful. Corporate rental units continue to create many issues for regular residents including health and security concerns.

I lived downtown in another city and when I moved to SD i wanted to live downtown as well. Found the add for this apartment complex decided to check it out. Met Eric, the apartment manager, and he gave me a tour. Nice building, located in a good area, and Eric was amazingly friendly. While giving the tour, there were several residences we encountered and he knew them by name and about them. That impressed me since other places I lived you barely heard from management unless you owed money. The unit was decently priced, so jumped at it. Have lived here a year now and still love it. Eric the manager wasn’t just putting on a show for me when giving the tour, he actually knows everyone and is very friendly. Anytime you see him he goes outta his way to say hi and ask if you need anything. Maintenance staff is always helpful and take care if any issues immediately. The apartments are located in an area where you can walk to anything you want to do. Close to the ballpark, Gaslamp, and harbor. Love my choice of these apartments.

I'm impressed by the building itself. Despite having so many units, the walls are thick and the units are designed well. I almost never hear my neighbors. Maintenance is generally fast, and the property managers are genuinely friendly and helpful. There are newer, fancier, more pretentious places to live, but I like this practical building right in the center of the city.

Staff is great. They know everyones name and are very polite, professional, and always helpful.

I moved here several months ago. The room layout is very well-designed, and all the appliances work well. The sound-proofing is excellent; I hardly ever hear any of my neighbors, including the people above the unit. The street noise can be kind of loud sometimes (loud motorcycles and late-night partying on weekends), but I knew that moving in. Overall, I've enjoyed living here, and it's better than I hoped it would be.

We have lived downtown for over 4 years and of all the property managers we have met, Eric is absolutely the best of them all. Whereas most property managers treat you as another “revenue stream”, Eric listens to your individual concerns. He does everything within his abilities and authority to address your concerns, ensuring your comfort and well-being. The most recent example of Eric’s commitment to his tenants was our recent trouble with the employees and customers of the Neighborhood Bar. On a daily basis they would smoke and loiter outside of our home. When asked to move away from our door, we are cursed at and told to go back inside. We brought this issue to Eric and not more than a day later, Eric had addressed the issues with building security, the commercial leasing manager, and the bar owner. The employees have since then taken their smoking further away. It is because of Eric’s due diligence that bar employees don’t smoke in front of our home. Eric’s attitude, work ethic, and dedication are very rare with today’s generation. He could easily warrant a management role with any other company of his choosing. 7th and G (Greystar) is very fortunate to have someone of his caliber on their team. My experience renting here has been great. The management staff is always responsive, and they take pride in maintaining our building and facilities. The amenities are top notch as well!

The staff here, Laura and Eric both were very professional and helpful in making my move successful.

I've never experienced a more poorly operated apartment complex. Within 48 hours I had a cockroach infestation -- they ended up having to do the entire 5th Floor twice. My washer and dryer broke in the first month, and two maintenance requests have gone unanswered by the staff. Do yourself a favor and skip this property and Greystar in general.
