Property Ratings at Sedgefield Apartments
The staff is great and really friendly. It was easy to get the apartment. Simple. I did a blind move from out of state, and did not get a chance to view the apartments beforehand. But based on the pics and reviews and price, I decided to do it. I almost turned around and left immediately after getting the keys. The pics on the website are probably from this apartment complex, but one that has been done up, had good lighting and by a professional photographer. My apartment is crap. The kitchen is completely out of date. There's dried paint all over the floors and carpeting. As well as some other stains. The kitchen floor has gouges in it. My cabinets don't stay closed, and did I mention old? Like from the 70s. I didn't think this style even existed anymore. I have holes and gaps all over, where the trim doesn't fit. Or the walls, edging or whatever else was cut wrong. The closet space is lacking. There's minimal storage in the kitchen. The outside hallways are filled with bugs and spiders. Which it is outside, so it's to be expected to some degree. But this makes me scared to even open my door. The grounds tend to pool water. I haven't had any issues with my apartment flooding. But getting around the complex during or after a rain can be challenging. Though I think that's common for the area. The windows don't have screens. So unless you want bugs coming in, leave your windows closed. On the ground floor, what's keeping someone from just climbing in? The outside of the buildings in this complex are run down and look like crap. Faded, gaps in the siding in spots. They have a laundry building on site, but not in the buildings themselves. I'm embarrassed to have anyone come over. I'm embarrassed to live here. I haven't been here long enough to figure out about the neighborhood and if it's safe. So far that does seem better than it looks. But I'll be moving ASAP. I'm not pleased with place at all.
I have only been living here a short time but the residents and office management has been very pleasant to me since moving in.
I have been living at Sedgefield Apartments for over 6 years. Its A great community in Hanahan. Great school district! Raising my children here has brought me peace of mind. The property manager is great they help with all my needs and they do it with a smile.
Absolutely love the apartments. Great and quite place to live! Lived here for almost two months and I have had no issues! Staff and neighbors are nice! I would recommend anyone anyone looking for a nice apartment, to move here!
