Situated roughly seven miles south of Downtown Savannah, Leeds Gate-Colonial Village is a tree-filled, attractive neighborhood bordering Hunter Army Airfield. Its western border, Middleground Road, leads south to Armstrong State University. Savannah State University is also nearby -- just six miles northeast. Leeds Gate-Colonial Village is a perfect location for shopping -- Oglethorpe Mall is adjacent to the neighborhood on its northeast side, and Savannah Mall is to the southwest. For golfers, the Hunter Golf Club borders the neighborhood on its north end.
Renting in Savannah surrounds you with rich history. Only about five miles from Leeds Gate-Colonial Village, Wormsloe Historic Site features a sun-dappled lane sheltered by towering oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The road leads to the tabby ruins of the Wormsloe Estate, a colonial estate built in 1733 by Noble Jones. Jones was one of the original settlers of Savannah, arriving with James Oglethorpe in 1733.

Normally I don’t have the time to rate my living experience for different apartment complexes and communities that I’ve live in as a Service Member, but this Apartment Complex has the WORST reputation thus far. Customer service, maintenance, professionalism, hospitality, cleanliness, communication, and accountability.

Would be a nice place to live if office staff weren’t so invasive and annoying. They always leave notes on your door about things, the water is always being shut off for some type of maintenance because the sewer lines get clogged, maintenance comes into your apartment without calling first, parking is horrible (there aren’t enough spots), water and light bills here are outrageous (in my experience) because the apartment isn’t efficient yet rent is steadily increasing. It’s very hard to cool the upstairs of the apartment. Pros: maintenance responds quickly. However, they should still call and make sure it’s a good time before barging in, rent is no penalty if received by the 5th.
I'm excited to have moved into my very own first place! The apartment looks as is on the pictures above and love everything about it! It's quiet and spacious where I reside and the walls appear to be sound proof to me because I never here my neighbors! My son school is literally 2mins up the street and Largo-Tibet is a pretty good school. The office staff here are very patient and understanding to there tenants and overall awesome and I truly appreciate the small time that I've been here and so forth! Join the community! The pool is great also!! Thanks Stratford Arms!!
