The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at San Marin At The Civic Center
This was by far the worst apartment I've lived at, which is significant considering I rented while going to ASU for 4 years in Tempe. Guests were towed, I was towed from my own parking space and the front office did nothing to reconcile that cost. The pool was constantly under maintenance and had alcohol cans/bottles all over the place from people partying. Part of a parking structure fell on people's cars and the front office said it was not covered by insurance as it was an act of god. The cheap refrigerator had to be replaced three times in the two years I was here. I could go on, but I would never recommend living here
Property Manager at San Marin At The Civic Center, Responded To This Review
We sincerely apologize for the negative experiences you encountered during your time at San Marin. We require all residents and guests to have a parking pass or sticker in their car while parked on the property. Residents are also required to have their parking sticker displayed in the front window while parked in their designated space to ensure the space is being utilized by a resident. The office has parking passes readily available for residents to pick up for their guests for up to three days at a time. We also offer the option for the staff to deliver to your door if needed. The falling of the carport structure was caused by an intense monsoon storm and could not have been predicted by the onsite staff. Your vehicle or renters’ insurance should’ve been the one to compensate you if your vehicle was affected by that unfortunate accident. Regarding your refrigerator, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. In these circumstances, maintenance makes it a priority to get appliances ordered and installed quickly. We cannot know when putting in a new appliance if it has a defect or is working at the time of installation. Our maintenance technicians ensure all new appliances work properly before leaving the unit. We strive to provide a positive living experience to all of our residents. If you still have any remaining questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (480) 949-1222 or SMGroup@rentanapt.com. Thank you, San Marin Management
Everything is done at the cheapest cost possible. Sidewalk was replaced in a section by the fountain and around a tree. It looks so bad like my drunk uncle did it. They will do anything they can to nickel and dime you.
Property Manager at San Marin At The Civic Center, Responded To This Review
I am sorry to hear about your negative experience. We try to deliver the finest service and want our residents to enjoy living here. We had an outside vendor come in to do the sidewalk, and lay the concrete. Initially, it did not look the best, but now that it has dried and weathered it looks fine. As you never elaborated in your review, I feel there are some other underlying issues that you may have. Please contact the office and I would be more than happy to discuss this further. Thank you Management at the San Marin at the Civic Center
Not worth the price. There are much nicer places to rent within a mile for less. Apartments are dated. Old nasty floors and appliances. Cheap counters and fixtures! Management and maintenance are both a total joke. The pool is always closed for some reason, sometimes for weeks or months at a time. They recently redid the parking to allow more spaces. They did this by making all spaces smaller. You can only park in one of the ncovered. Unassigned spaces if you drive a Mini Cooper. So people park on the lines and double park leaving more spaces unusable. Poorly done. You will have to park across the street at a restaurant or hotel if you get home after 6 or anytime on the weekend. Can’t wait to move.
Great location. Nice staff. Smallest parking spots ever.
The apartment is okay. It has recently gone through new management and has definitely gotten better. The location is great and definitely walking distance to everything in old town Scottsdale. The apartments are getting remodeled as soon as you move out. It still has a older layout in some apartments. The gym is open 24/7 with card access. The pool is great most of the time there are people having pool parties but not all the time. Its always clean. The grounds are constantly kept up, and well maintained. Every time you drive into the complex you always feel like you are going resort and on vacation
Location, appearance and overall value just outstanding
