Legendary outlaw Butch Cassidy acquired the name “Butch” while working as a butcher in Rock Springs.

Historic Downtown Rock Springs is the cultural center of the community, offering a slew of tasty eateries, lively bars, and independent shops in well-preserved buildings. Residents enjoy a bevy of recreational activities at Bunning Park, Centennial Park, O’Farrell Park, and nearby Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area.
