Adjacent to Trenton and bordering the Delaware River, Ewing is a large township that contains the College of New Jersey and the Trenton-Mercer Airport. The township began as part of Hopewell Township and was settled by colonists in 1699. The oldest building in Ewing is a farmhouse built in 1717 by William Green, one of the area's first settlers.
To get a sense of how the area must have looked to those early colonists, visit the West Branch of Shabakunk Creek, located near the airport. This natural area covers more than five miles and played a vital role in the Revolutionary War's Second Battle of Trenton. Another great location to visit after moving to a Ewing apartment is the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park Trail, which extends along the river. The trail is 77 miles long and is popular for hiking, bicycling, jogging, and horseback riding.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at River's Edge Apartments
As my first apartment this is a great first step. Spacious floor plans, a lot included in the rent, everyone (at least in my cluster) keeps to themselves and are friendly in passing. Maintenance and one of the ladies in the office seems to be on the slower end to get things done but never tooo long of a wait. I just wish there were some upgrades to bring these apartments into the times. Also online rent payment and service requests would be nice. As well as registering for the app to reload laundry cards instead of having to go to the leasing area to refill every time.
I've been here almost a year and moving here is one of the worse decisions I've made. The apartments are invested with centipedes and it takes months for maintenance to fix issues with the apartments. When it rains, the basements flood with water and the outdated pumps fail causing the apartments to smell like a sewer. The other tenants will allow their dogs to defecate on the walkway and step over it. The floor joists are shot and you can here the person above you tip-toeing all hours of the night. Depending on the issue, it can take maintenance months to fix things. Then they had the nerve to ask to renew the lease upping the rent but still haven't fixed a maintenance request from may.
My boyfriend and I moved to rivers edge back in March and we have been very content since. From management to the apartment itself we really have no complaints. Best bang for your buck in the area.
I just moved in and i love it. It’s spacious and the utilities are everything that are included. Great staff Alex was very cool and nice and understanding. The only con i have is my bathroom wasn’t finished but they are on the job to finish it.
Great Place to move. The office staff is very helpful. The apartments are very spacious, animal friendly, and peaceful. They are affordable and I would recommend this place.
Do NOT move into a 1st floor unit here. You can hear your neighbors through the walls! It's like living in the same apartment with them...and if they have children, you can literally hear the children running around above your head. Also, there are a lot of shady characters who live here...not always a safe environment. There are tenants who allow other people to move in with them (which is against the lease terms), so it creates an unsafe space because you don't know who's supposed to be there and who isn't. The plus side is the size of the apartment and that the maintenance men respond pretty quickly to make repairs.
