Southeast Boise winds its way along the eastern banks of the Boise River, a patchwork quilt of green and brown stitched by tidy rows of suburban homes. As the largest neighborhood in the city, this location offers something for everyone. Historic homes surrounding the university attract young, artistic types, while families flock to modern subdivisions. Designed with families in mind, most homes in these subdivisions have schools within walking distance.
Wedged between downtown Boise and some of Idaho's most prominent employers, residents of this area don't waste hours commuting. Drive less than four miles northwest and reach the city center in about ten minutes.
Easy access to mountains and forests draws every kind of outdoor enthusiast. Take effortless day hikes or grab your tent and seek refuge in the woods for an entire weekend. Fish, hunt or simply take photographs of the unspoiled wilderness.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at River Quarry Apartments
This is hands down the worst leasing office I’ve ever dealt with. They will try to charge you for anything they can think of, and they are completely unreasonable about it. Their cleaning fee? $385 for just the basic cleaning of a 1-bedroom apartment, and they made sure to let me know that’s the bare minimum. If they decide anything needs extra cleaning—like shampooing carpets or whatever—you’re getting charged even more. What really got me was how they suddenly started charging for things that were free before. Their excuse? They said it was “just courtesy” that they didn’t charge during the lease, but now it’s “normal” to charge for those same services. Total nonsense. Also, if you’re moving out, be prepared—they expect the place to look exactly like it did when you moved in, down to the tiniest detail. If it doesn’t, you’ll be hit with an insane bill that’ll make your head spin. Bottom line: Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place and their management as possible. You’ll save yourself a lot of stress and money.
After making an appointment for a tour, we arrived an were told it was unsafe to view the unit we were interested in because it was snowing. If this is any indication of what the management is like, I'd avoid renting here at all costs
This place is beautiful, near the water close to downtown etc. When you need something the front office never picks up the phone. You could be calling them from the window, watching them, hear the phone ring and chose not to answer. The front office forgets about your problems and doesn't communicate when a technician will or will not be coming. This place is bought by a cailforina company. Which messed up everyone kitchen sink and bathroom sink pressure. The cailforina company wanted to go with a low flow adapters. If your in a renovated apartment, sorry you just have to deal with no water. The water pressure is no bad you literally have to use bath tube water if want to shave your face or even brush your teeth. They will not fix it nor change it. Front Office doesn't do anything about it. Stay away.
River Quarry Apartments is a great property. Safe, clean, well kept with very good amenities. The management was super friendly and always responsive. Located on the Green Belt so cycling into central Boise or just jogging along the wooded river paths is a real bonus for those who appreciate nature. Highly recommended.
Love living at River Quarry! The grounds are well kept and lovely. The maintenance staff are well trained , friendly and all requests are promptly addressed. The location is superb for a walk or bike ride on the green belt , a short drive to downtown, and public transportation is a block away.
I'd always dreamed of living near a lake, and lo and behold the River Quarry Apartments have allowed us to do so. The beautiful views of the foothills, proximity to the Greenbelt and Boise River, the hot tub/pool/gym, quiet neighbors, well-managed interiors, responsive staff, the relatively affordable rent - for Boise, this is about as good as apartment life can be!
I've lived at River Quarry for most of the last eight years. I had to move out of State for about six months to care for my 92-year-old Dad. When moving back, I searched from Lewiston to Twin Falls and found no place that I liked better than River Quarry. The dedicated staff, the access to the Boise Greenbelt, and proximity to shopping, healthcare, and other services in the Boise Community are next to none. The grounds and units are well maintained for a property about 20 years old and they are in the process of upgrading some units. If they were all upgraded and readily available, I would give them five stars.
I've lived here at River Quarry for over a year and a half. Here is my feedback. Pros: 1. Great location. Very good access to the Greenbelt and also other shopping hubs. 2. Apartments and common areas are very well maintained - the gym, pool and office are top class. Can barely tell this is a 10yr old apartment complex. 3. Service requests are followed-up on in a timely manner. Very responsive maintenance staff. 4. Very affordable. 5. Very safe. Cons: 1. Office staff could be more friendly. 2. Gym timings are stringent (closes at 10pm).
We have lived at River Quarry for the last two years. Our our experience has been fantastic. The staff is very professional and quickly response to any needs/repairs. The grounds are immaculate and the grounds crew does a phenomenal job of keeping things clean. The reason we are leaving is because there’s no 2 bedroom, 2 bath on the ground floor. Would highly recommend this property to anyone. We will miss the peregrine falcon that comes to visit us in the willow tree outside our bedroom window!
I love living in these apartments! It's quiet and peaceful and it's close to everything that I need and go to. It's directly off of the greenbelt where I walk my dog. It's a great place to live!
I love living in these apartments because of the location. They are surrounded by large trees & a gorgeous pond, all which leads directly to the green belt. Living in the River Quarry Apartments isn’t quite like living in most other apartments, where all you see is concrete & parking lots. These are surrounded by nature and that is one of the main reasons I chose these exact apartments.
I love living here at the River Quarry apartments! It has excellent location and great view! It’s only 5 min from down town Boise and BSU, has nearby Albertsons and Axiom fitness, and also has direct access to the Boise Greenbelt. The office staff are very friendly, courteous, and professional. They respond quickly to any requirement and problem. I still remember that I locked myself at raining night and It took them less than 30 minutes to unlock the door for me. You can definitely trust their service. Plus, neighbors are nice and quiet here. I live in a 1B1B apartment on the top floor (3rd) and the facilities are quite new: central air conditioning, microwave, oven, dish washer, clothes washer and dryer inside the apartment. There is also a pool with a direct view to greenbelt and Stack Rock mountain, not to mention hot tub and fitness room inside the complex. They also offer attached garage, which is more than handy during raining and snowing days. The environment is safe and very clean. The office staff will remove the snow and clear the road in a timely manner during winter. I would highly recommend River Quarry.
We have recently moved from Singapore to Boise on company transfer. We were given accomodation in River Quarry appartments. And.. we have felt in love with this place. Each appartment has their own private garage. The rooms are of adequate size,s, fully equipped kitchen and big balcony. There is a gym and swiming pool as well. It is besides thefamed green belt and anytime one can go for walk, riun or cycling. The place has a lot of restaurants nearby and has grocery stores only 2 blocks away. Quick 5 mins drive to boise downtown and on to I 184 will take you to all the places in Idaho. The service folks of the rental management are also quite helpful. I am happy that we have chosen to live here.
