Property Ratings at River Parkway Senior Apts & Family Townhomes
For the prices these are going, the management and community is horrible. They are nice but don’t think they are worth the price they are asking. This place a revolving door of property managers and tenants are moving out everyday.
I moved in when the property opened two years ago. The apartment is beautiful and easy to maintain. Residents are generally quite friendly and the current staff very helpful. The common space is well maintained and has lovely decor. The long hallways on each floor are decorated with a wide range of beautiful, high quality framed artwork that was personally selected by the company president. The nearby outdoor area provides wonderful walking space along the river. I’m fortunate to be on the south side of the building facing the park. The light is wonderful and the third floor view quite peaceful. The building is well insulated and on this side I don’t even hear the trains on the north side. If the kids get too noisy in the town house playground below, I simply close the balcony door for quiet. In good weather it’s only a half mile walk to the grocery and drug stores and a mile to restaurants. The fitness room is great as are the hallways for indoor winter walking. I feel safe and secure living here as a single woman in her mid-seventies and grateful to have found this beautiful space. I’m grateful to have found
Staffing is okay, but definitely will not go out of the way for anyone. Pricing is very expensive for what you get. About 150 apartments and the cleaner doesn’t come very often, my last place there was a cleaner everyday. The property smells like an assistant living/nursing home. The apartments are nice, they do not paint after each tenant they touchup so you see touch ups all over looks terrible. There is absolutely nowhere to to sit outdoors under shade unless it’s your deck. Most of all if you’re looking for 55 and older community thinking it’s going to be a quiet environment you are so wrong. They built a community right next-door to the 55 and older and they also have townhomes and they also surround the 55 and older community as they are for any age so not a quite place. Like I said, the apartments on the inside are very nice very roomy, but definitely has a lot of downfalls and good luck finding a parking spot in the lot & garage is always full.
This review is for the townhomes, not the senior apartments. Pros: We lived in an end unit and it was very quiet, very little noise from neighbors New development so appliances are only a year old. Master bedroom walk in shower is spacious. Maintenance was responsive. Cons: Unless you have a garage, parking is terrible and non-running vehicles stay parked for ages. Common areas are not well tended by tenants, especially the garbage area. Not a good community vibe - you can only say hi to neighbors with no response before you get the hint. Can't pay rent online, they have a drop box.
I have yet to move in yet, but I can say that the communication has been excellent. Kirt has answered my every question in a very timely manner. Looking forward to moving in !!
