I've been here for almost 5 years....... they never fix your stuff on time because they're so busy trying to make room for new tenants a month ago my dishwasher and my sinks in my kitchen we're out of use for 9 days making my apartment stink and it wasn't until I went into the office demanding attention and now here I am again on July 31st 2025 asking for my dishwasher to be tended to I put in a request two days ago nobody has came but they built a new staircase for my neighbors but they can't come fix my stuff this is an awful place to live if you're expecting anyone to care. the last neighbor that I knew said he went 3 months without air conditioning and they never fixed it this place has turned into a disaster and has had at least three to four different property owners since I've been here just because it's affordable remember affordable doesn't mean dependable.
They gave me a evictions notices because they couldn't find a renewal lease for me so they gave a notice to move
Everyone nice when you’re looking once you move in and things go wrong in your apartment, Management is RUDE. They have a pest problem but I never seen a pest control guy come knock on my door and I pay for it monthly .The pool you don’t have access too , no basketball court Or tennis courts they lying.
I don’t know if all of Tampa have a termite problem or just a few places but it makes it difficult to try to live in a place you want to call home but you’re getting bit every night,throughout the day or even in your car. I’ve had Massey come every week (when he chooses to show up anyway) and my termite problem is still not solved. At first he told me it was ants now I realize no one knows what they’re doing. If you have any wood furniture and expect to move in here despite the reviews also expect to lose some of your items as well. I’ve thrown out my bed and now doing my best to move out! I’ve been here since July and it’s been the worse place I’ve ever lived. I’ve contacted the property manager several times and nothing was solved really. All I got was attitude and unprofessionalism. ( Threaten to stop sending pest control out) Also contacted management above them and they haven’t even gotten back to me. Asked for a screen on my patio to limit the bugs so I can air out my house when I cook. That was months ago. I moved to Tampa to get a fresh start and a different experience. All this place has made me is DEPRESSED. With all the bull that comes with this place( noise, pests issues, no grounds keep work at all,) All in all the termites are a deal breaker. JUST DONT DO IT!
-management must email you a link to apply -there are no apartments to preview, view virtually -Rent +water/sewer ($60) pest control/trash ($15)+ Spectrum wifi/internet $89 are all paid together to the leasing office -Maintenance staff- you will probably have to learn how to repair it yourself or hire someone -Fitness center only open during Leasing Office hours -Swimming Pool is closed -Some apartments have ceiling fans -Some apartments having functioning equipment (ice maker, dish washer) -Laundry Rooms are all being worked on -Pest Control is provided by Messey - I have my own remedy
Can not give opinion on apt. interior, was not afforded a tour as the girl stated there was not a unit to show. Rent stated by the staff was 300-400 more than posted as well as having a 3x salary plus a security deposit and a non-refundable admin fee. this was the third complex I visited today that had large difference in ads fees and actual fees. Girl did not even stand up to greet me kept texting on her phone.
Moved here almost two months ago. Been getting bit by bugs. Even Massey doesn’t even know what it is. 10/10 would not recommend. Even if it’s an emergency. Pest control have been out to my place at least 5+ times and nothing was solved. Since the day I moved in. I have not been comfortable. Gym,pool is closed. No laundry rooms. Place is a mess. If I could afford it. I’d break my lease
These apartments have several issues.I have been calling for over 2 months about breezeway light out.My stove does not work and the kitchen sink makes a screaming noise every time you turn it on.So bad the neighbors have came out and asked what that noise was.Then last weekend we called emergency maintenance twice because went to unplug something and the cover came off and half the outlet came out with a shocking noise and shocked me.They never returned the call like always.This place is definitely not safe.The same breezeway they have not fixed the light had a shootout just a couple weeks ago.Maintenance is the worst I've seen in the 4 years being here.
This place has an infestation and whatever they so called use it's like attracting the bugs. It is utterly disgusting here and I didn't stay for my entire lease. They placed an eviction on my record with a $0 balance because I complained literally daily on their line. There were roaches inside of my daughter's nebulizer machine and there was nothing done about it. There were fights out in the parking lot several times, and the laundry room was not ever cleaned. It was so disgusting I wouldn't recommend a rat to live here. Lived here almost 4 months and the pool was broken the entire time. Also, there was NO access to the fitness area after the close of the office so what good is that to any of the tenants? Just a disgusting and unprofessionally ran complex.
By far the nastiest apartments i had a rat running around from a big hole they cut in the bathroom and it took weeks to get it covered
I just got approved for an apartment here at River Oaks. The staff is very friendly especially the lady that helped me out they seem to run specials each month like half off September's rent. The complex seems pretty nice and well maintained. There are gates up but the few times I have gone in they were open and unlocked. There is a basketball court a tennis court laundry rooms and a playground and of course a pool as well oh and a gym. When I went to go look at the model home 1 bedroom 1 bath it was very nice not real fancy but what you would expect out of the 1-bedroom 1-bath apartment. I have not moved in yet but from what I saw and how everything seems to be I believe I will like it. And it is right in front of the Hillsborough River so that is a plus as well.
My apartments are pretty neat and quiet in my area hopefully soon I will relocate to a better area
