Historic school turned into apartments for low-income, 55
The meticulous attention to detail during the renovation of this century-old school building resulted in apartments that are lovely and historically correct. Twelve-foot high ceilings (on the 2nd and 3rd floors) with 8-foot high windows add a spacious feel to the modest-sized rooms. The neighborhood, unfortunately, is sketchy. And not everyone who lives here is happy with the property management company. But I think for those in need of affordable housing, Emery School does have a lot to offer.
