The property is beautiful and the front office is extremely nice. However, the first couple of weeks we didn't have the best experience. We had all our kitchen appliances upgraded but maintenance left the old refrigerator sitting in our kitchen and left our items in the old, unplugged refrigerator all day. They scratched a picture on our wall in the process. The dishwasher was left incomplete, the baseboard was just sitting against it, I could see the feet of the dishwasher, and they hooked it up wrong because the kitchen sink does not have hot water. The stove is not leveled with the counter and our pans that were sitting on the top were tossed onto the counter with our towels. There is no maintenance on the weekend and they replaced the appliances on Friday afternoon and my partner and I did not return home until after hours leaving us with no hot water in the kitchen the entirety of the weekend and no dishwasher.
Ever since I moved down here from Georgia I’ve had nothing but great customer service especially from Brandy she is Awesome and always has a pleasant spirit

If you are considering a studio do not rent here. You run the chance of having someone own a garage under you. You not being able to control when the garage goes up and down. It makes horrendous loud noises. These apartments also have gnats, which is a large issue, maybe because they are so near to the lake located right behind the apartments. They do not pick up the trash at the time allotted time (2pm-6pm). The carpet inside of my apartment reeked upon arrival (when my lease began) they never addressed this issue. The light in my oven- i placed a work order for, we never fixed. Just overall bad experience and I ended my lease early. I’m sure you’ll find better quality management else where. Do yourself a favor.
This community is what I thought it would be. Fun and helpful team, great amenities, clean and quiet. I see the team picking up the trash, cleaning gym equipment, and they waive when I drive by. The doors slam but that is something I can live with.
I feel safe, and the amount of amenities boggles my mind! Staff are very pleasant to deal with, tho I didn't get stainless steel appliances as advertised.
At the Retreat, we really feel at home. We love the private entryways, unit layout, and the complex overall. We recently adopted a puppy, and love the amenities available for him! The move-in process was pretty seamless. My only complaints are that there is a bit of a litter issue around the complex my pup tries to eat the trash when we go out and Im a bit worried for his safety in that regard! It is also a bit hard to communicate with staff, but thats partially due to Covid and the limitations with office hours that that carries. Otherwise, a beautiful complex that I am proud to call home!
The Retreat is a wonderful place to live. It's a safe environment, has amenities galore, friendly and professional staff, the neighbors are friends and it's a community that you can be proud of!
The management staff is very friendly and professional. The maintenance team takes care of issues quickly as possible. The area is well kept and quiet. I would recommend this complex to others.
I highly recommend this apartment community. The staff is awesome! Easy to communicate with, very timely and very helpful and responsive.
I enjoy living here at Retreat at Fremaux Center. Friendly atmosphere and quiet complex. Hope we can get another BBQ grill soon, and get the weights back into the gym soon.
I would not like to comment about that at this time due to the ongoing issues that are still not resolved. Overall, beside the issues that are still pending, I have enjoyed my stay here in less than one week.
The Retreat is very well taken care of and the staff is awesome. The service I receive is very good and timely. I highly recommended the Retreat at Fremeaux.

I love my community here at the Slidell location because it is small and well kept. It's 2 stories high compared to most apartments which are 3 which makes the community less crowded.
We love living in this community and its very child friendly with excellent staff. Everyone that works here care and its extremely clean and safe.
This apartment complex is fairly new and looks great at first but it's too good to be true. The fees and rent are the highest around. Beware of the office managers as they screwed my account up several times in the year I was there; over charging and mistakenly sending my non-existent balance to debt collectors. The fake friendly smiles will fool you in to moving in then they will ignore you until it's time to collect on move out inspection. Keep Looking. Trust me.

Thank you for your feedback. Our goal is always unparalleled customer service, transparency, and righting our wrongs. Our fees are comparable in the Slidell area and are not overcharging our community. We make sure that we communicate via eblast to our community about any gate repairs, etc. All accounts are automatically turned over to collections if no payments are made within 30 days of move out. We are transparent about this process during each move out process. There has been errors before and we have contacted the credit system and have the account removed but it has never been due to a non existent balance.
I would not recommend this place to any friends or family. So tired of door slamming and hearing every little sound above me. For the money I pay I shouldn't have to deal with this. You can literally hear the person above you walking around, Dogs running around, People running down their stairs. The office can't do anything about it apparently. Do yourself a favor and go rent a house. I've lived in apartments before and don't remember it being anything like this place. It looks appealing on the outside and it's brand new but I'd rather live in an old place and have leave and quiet. You will lose sleep here because of your neighbors.
Some of us that live downstairs like Peace. My upstairs neighbor is up between 630-8am arguing, stomping, and slamming their door that shakes my bedroom wall. Next option I'm calling the police for a noise disturbance. I'm over this????. I stay in building 6 I have a infant and a teenager. If I can hear it so can my neighbors next to me who live under them.
From the time I've lived here the gate has been broken more then it has worked. I kid you not this is not an exaggeration. Why don't they have more cameras up finding out what is going on? Why am I paying a premium to live in a gated community?!? There is always trash just laying around outside the trash compactor- again why aren't there cameras up for people to get fined? There are always lazy people parking in the handicap spots when they have no handicap permits. Why aren't these people getting fined? The office staff are incompetent and are only worried about getting you to sign the lease. Once you are signed up they treat you like dirt. I am counting down the days until my lease is up.
How is that people that actually rent back here and live back here have to be out of the pool by 10 which is a respectable time but people that don't live back here be in our pool between 2am thru 3am and it's a seen factor with posting on there social media!!!!
