East of Chattanooga proper and only about 20 minutes outside of downtown, Ooltewah is a small, unincorporated community in Hamilton County. I-75 provides an easy route to Chattanooga as well as Cleveland, TN, in the east. Chattanooga Airport is very close by, and apartments on the south side of Ooltewah are particularly convenient to the campus of Southern Adventist University. The area benefits from a low crime rate, well below the state and national averages. Folks in Ooltewah are also very close to many of eastern Tennessee’s natural attractions, such as Harrison Bay State Park and the Great Smoky Mountains.
