Adjacent to Rickenbacker International Airport on the outskirts of Columbus, Groveport is much more than a suburb. This dynamic city, which dates back to the early 1800s, is the location of several major employers, including Air Tahoma, FedEx, Amazon.com, VistaPrint, Eddie Bower, and several more. For those commuting into Downtown Columbus, I-270 is easily accessible for the 10-mile commute.
One of the area's earliest canal towns, Groveport predates the opening of the Ohio and Erie Canal in 1831. Back then, there were two towns: Wert's Grove and Rarey's Port. When the two towns merged, they combined their names into the one-of-a-kind "Groveport."
