Prairie Winds is a wonderful place to live. It is clean, cleverly designed, well-maintained, and very pleasant. The office staff is knowledgeable, professional, and very kind and understanding. The maintenance staff is top-notch, going out of their way to make residents happy. Jon helped me with a shower head issue, and was particularly understanding about my skittish dog. I'm lucky to call this place home!
I love living here! The community is so welcoming and friendly. The staff are amazing and everything is so clean and put together. It makes you feel like you’re living at a resort.

I downsized from a large family home to a 2 bedroom apartment here at Prairie winds. From the first time I walked into the office I knew this was the place for me. The office staff did not disappoint, were professional and personable. They have been great ever since. My Apartment is like a house. The upgrades are beautiful and I have not heard a neighbor ever since being here. I feel like I am living in a luxury hotel every day. The maintenance staff is like no other. They are professional and personable and get the job done. I have been here 3 months and know I am not leaving here anytime soon. Prairie winds is home and with the amenities is well worth the rent I pay. The staff goes above and beyond to have events that help you lmeet your neighbors. All my neighbors are nice and the grounds are beautiful. I cant say enough nice things about Prairie winds!

To call Prairie Wnds an "Apartment Complex" is simply a large understatement! It is a community where people of all ages and life stages blend together to form new friendships and life long relationships. We are almost 5 year residents, and this is where we're staying. Besides the great amenities, location, and beautiful apartments, we've become a non-related family. We help each other out and step in where needed, all with people we've never met before our residence here, but it is unique and comforting to know. It is something you'll never get elsewhere nor expect to get with your rent!

We moved into Prairie Winds 3 months ago. It is safe, newer (about 5 years old), beautiful landscape and upkeep, awesome amenities, friendly neighbors and staff, and our unit is spacious with everything we need. Amy and Emily, the Assistant Community Managers, listen and are responsive. Both times that I had minor maintenance issues, they came out the same day for repairs! Location is perfect, with the highly rated District 303 school system, and you can literally walk to Geneva Commons.

I am really enjoying my time here at PW. Walking the lovely paths and meeting up with friends at the grill and relaxing at the pool are my favorite things to do! I have really enjoyed not having to shovel, mow and keep up with maintenance! Staff here are fun to talk to and Peanut loves to visit the office for some attention! Thanks Prairie Winds!

My wife and I moved to Prairie Winds following a fire at our home. We had very low expectations of any temporary housing but were thrilled when our relocation consultant found us this property. We have had only 100% positive interactions with everyone in the management office. A few minor items needing maintenance intervention popped up, but the response was swift, fixed the first time with a smile and always handled professionally. The amenities are something that are very much growing on us. The exercise facility rivals what I paid for at a local health club, indoor & outdoor pools, full locker room and a secure mailing center that beats receiving package deliveries at our home's doorstep. The people here are friendly and respectful. There's a number of people who have dogs, but the owners do an excellent job of cleaning up after and training their dog to interact well with others. We're very fortunate to have found Prairie Winds!

My wife and I stayed at Prairie Winds for 6 months while we were in-between homes. We really enjoyed the time there. Other residents are friendly, the weight room/gym is fantastic (never more than 5-6 people there at any one time), and a great pool. The whole community seems very safe - we walked our dog a lot and never felt like it was dark - because it's so well-lit. The staff is super helpful. They are very responsive to every request. Sounds strange, but we actually felt like we were on vacation for 6 months!!! Bob & Jan
We have been living at PW for almost 3 months thus far and it’s been overall a great experience. The apartment looks very chic and modern, and it feels very spacious for our family of 3. Great amenities, convenient location, efficient maintenance workers, helpful leasing office staff. Can’t say enough great things about this place!
We have lived at Prairie Winds for almost a year and it has been awesome! Everyone on the team is so pleasant and friendly and always willing to help. Our dog loves the dog park and all of the walking paths and we love the gym, the pool, and being so close to the Commons and Downtown St. Charles/Geneva. You truly can’t find a complex with the amenities like Prairie Winds anywhere! It is clean and safe, the staff and neighbors are wonderful, and it is truly an amazing place to live!
I have lived in Prarie Winds since we moved from Puerto Rico to Illinois almost two years ago and I got to said it has been the best decision that we made. We lived in a two bedroom for six months and then we upgraded to a three bedroom unit and we love both. Beginning with the luxuries details in all the units, the BBQ area, Indoor Pool, Hot Tub, Club House, the Gym (love it ????) and my favorite during spring and summer our Resort style Pool were we get together with our wonderful neighbors and have days of fun that will last forever in our hearts. We also have a dog park, children playground, conference room, mail room and many more. Love my Community ??
I am truly impressed with Prairie Winds and I can say I have seen it evolve since it was built. New ownership, employees and many new residents. I have nothing but positive remarks for all of it. the new employees, the ladies in the office and the guys taking care of the grounds and apartments are all wonderful people. They are not just creepy faces driving around in the golf carts that leave you wondering who they are and why in the world you trust them to come into your apartment. I have built a rapport with every employee here and they are all down to earth, great people. They treat you like family. I love that the apartments feel more like town-homes with their own garages and addresses. The countertops and appliances are all good quality. High ceilings and open floor plans make them feel very spacious. The gym is by far the best you will ever have in an apartment complex! The hot tub and TWO pools are absolutely amazing. I greatly appreciate how it is all in one building, the gym, the hot tub/pool combo, and most importantly the MAILROOM. I have seen too many complexes where their mailroom is either outside or under some poor grade ceiling overtop of them all. The mailroom has a community computer and a fancy package storage system that is truly one of a kind! This whole complex is absolutely wonderful!
Cannot say enough good things about Prairie Winds Apartments! We’ve been living here for over a hear now and from the staff to the amenities to the apartment upgrades, everything is TOP NOTCH! If you are going to rent in St. Charles this is the place, hands down. I love that it feels like a townhome community and not a typical rental atmosphere. Having a 2 car attached garage saves us from having to pay for a storage unit. The park is great for little ones and we really enjoy the onsite gym and outdoor kitchen. There is also a business room that I’ve used several times for remote meetings. Hello! I lived in a 1 bedroom unit here for one year. I don’t know why there aren’t more positive reviews on here. I loved living here! The staff is very friendly and responsive. They really make it a community here with monthly newsletters to inform you of any big changes or any community events or contests. Last year they had a contest for best decorated balcony for Xmas. Cutest pup contests. And if you’d win you earn money off your rent. The gym is first class and immaculate. Always clean and equipment and workout variety offered beats any xsport. They have free coffee cookies and popcorn. There’s been wine events, pool movie nights in the summer, it’s a lot of fun. They also have free water aerobic classes indoor all year long! The pool is so much fun in the summer where everyone knows everyone and enjoys each other. It’s a wonderful community. I will miss living here and also my neighbors. For me it’s just time to buy my own place. If you’re thinking about living here you should! The only negative I had was the snowplows keeping me up some nights with the beeping.
Absolute worst service available out there for the leasing/management side. 0 service 0 accommodations 0 interest in taking care of future tenants
When I first looked into renting here there was basically a waiting list. As you can see there are plenty of units available. When the new ownership took over they vowed to raise the rent. The result of this has created an environment where tenants are not renewing their leases and current tenants are very upset. Couple that with reduced property maintenance and you have an unsettled environment.The new management has successfully made this the most expensive place to rent in St Charles! If this pattern continues, this will be a ghost town with no money to invest in the maintenance. I hope they will identify the pattern and problem and readjust their approach.
