Founded in 1857, Dawsonville is the county seat of Dawson County and just 60 miles north of Atlanta. From auto racing to the annual fall “Mountain Moonshine Festival,” there’s so much to do and see in this Atlanta metro.
To the north of Dawsonville is Amicalola Falls State Park. The 729-foot waterfall is the highest in Georgia and is recognized as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia. At the falls, outdoor activities include camping, hiking, and wildlife observation. Autumn is an especially exciting time in Dawsonville – people from all over travel here to attend one of the many festivals and for some family-friendly fun at Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze. Here, families pick out their pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, sip hot cider, walk the corn maze, and view the grounds on a hayride.

Not that this will make a difference... because if you live here you likely can't afford anything else in the area. for the following reasons: *JUNE 15 (Father's Day) no propane.. not even an empty one... Almost ruined my bbq. Had my son go and look before I got home (because of low expectations that it would be trouble free.) THEN due to that excellent intuition I had to buy my own tank just to use an amenity everyone here SHOULD be able to CONFIDENTLY expect to be in a useable state. *JUNE 24 tried taking my kids to the pool. Pool was locked "for cleaning" no notification given. * JUNE 25 received an email saying "thanks for our patience on the "deep cleaning" (it's a real hard air quote on the "deepness" of the cleaning) BECAUSE the skimmer baskets were jammed up with bugs and debris. (Wish I took the picture) **I suppose though. That based on the convo I had today, JULY 9 , with the guy who proudly informed me "that HE is the only one who "knows" what to do with the chemicals.. ? maybe.. seems sus though. *JULY 6th received an email that the pool will be closed July 7-9.. {not too surprising based on the cloudiness of the water and fullness of the skimmer baskets. IMMEDIATELY after the "deep cleaning" mentioned above. But okay. Just after the fourth. Makes some amount of sense. Now that you're all caught up and at the present, TODAY, Thursday July 10.. I am currently sitting on the curb NOT AT THE POOL. So my kids can have some water time and try to calm down after NOT being able to use something we were supposed to be able to use. *JULY 10 almost 15 hours after the pool was supposed to open it's not. I am managing the emotions of two five-year-olds who have been excited expecting to swim. NO EMAIL saying anything changed. So thank you. thank you for ruining my daughter's day.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience living at Pointe Grand At Dawsonville Apartments! The location is super convenient – being close to Mellow Mushroom and other local spots is a definite plus. One thing that’s stood out to me is the included internet – it’s fast, reliable, and perfect for working from home without any issues. The maintenance staff is incredibly polite and friendly; they’re always quick to respond to requests. The front office and leasing team are equally great – they genuinely care about the residents and consistently follow up to make sure tasks are completed and promises are kept. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to live with a great team that makes the experience even better!

This is a lovely community! I’ve enjoyed living here and it has been a generally positive experience. These are high quality apartments and the rent is a great deal compared to similar apartments in the area. My favorite thing about Pointe Grand is that the floor plan of the unit definitely feels more like a home layout than what you typically see with apartments. The units are also SO spacious. My only con would be that office responsiveness over the phone/email could be a bit more timely, but I’ve had a good experience with the staff every time I’ve gone to the physical office. Pointe Grand is awesome!

Is a very nice community and love that everything is just right up the road if I ever neetd anything. Only complaint I have is people no cleaning up after their dogs and just leaving it where other people and dogs have to walk.

The complex has a great atmosphere and it is clean and well kept.The staff is always quick to help out when needed. Once in a while the trash is not picked up in the promised time but it doesn’t go more than a day.

My husband and I have had a good experience making our apartment into a little home. The only complaint we really have is the parking situation with the Mellow mushroom. It just makes it more difficult to access that back road but other than that we love it!

The staff is very helpful, and nice. Everyone I have met has been really nice and polite, the apartment is so beautiful! And they are very quick to answer the phone if you have any questions most apartments are very slow at that or just don’t answer

I've lived in this apartment for over a year, and it has truly exceeded my expectations. The location is ideal, close to shops, restaurants, and public transportation, which makes getting around the city a breeze. The apartment itself is modern, spacious, and well-maintained. I love the open floor plan and the large windows that let in tons of natural light. The kitchen is equipped with updated appliances, which makes cooking enjoyable, and there's plenty of storage space throughout. The building management is responsive and friendly, always quick to address any issues or requests. The common areas, like the fitness center and rooftop deck, are well-kept and a great place to unwind. Security is also a priority here, making me feel safe and secure at all times. Overall, it's a comfortable and convenient place to call home, and I couldn't be happier with my experience living here.

The community is peaceful and quiet conveniently located next to a new Mellow Mushroom. The gym being open 24/7 is so convenient on top of the relaxing pool with cabanas and coolers.

Nice area with lots of friendly people! My dogs love the dog park and the dog spa almost as much as I do. And the pool and gym is also a huge plus!

Overall, I would recommend this apartment complex. The staff has changed a few times since living here, however they have always been quick to respond to emails and address issues. These are also some of the most reasonably priced apartments in the area for 2 bed 2 bath and the amount of square footage is great. The only real issue I have ever had is parking - it fills up fast in the evening.

Apartments are new; however, they were definitely cheaply constructed. Maintenance could also do a better job of keeping up with the grounds.

Things have gotten better. There's a Starbucks machine in the lobby. The grill finally has propane. Reimbursement for services not provided has been unpaid for many months.

In the past 2 weeks our ac has gone out 3 times and have had to wait for maintenance for a full 24 hours the first time despite calling the office multiple times I was told they never received my voicemails. So I have gone up to the office and was told I have to call to leave a voicemail for maintenance. The second time they came and changed our filter even though it was just changed a week prior. Now on our 3rd maintenance request and have been waiting for 5 hours with no one reaching out or having come by.

We have really enjoyed our time living here. When we first moved in, there were several changes happening in the front office, but someone was always available to assist us and address any questions we had. Great complex! The facilities are clean and kept up with. The apartments are great, affordable, and the staff are easy to work with. And it’s close to the necessities in Dawsonville

Everyone has been so friendly, staff and neighbors!I have had trouble finding anywhere to rent that accepts pets, but Pointe Grand does that and more. Not only are they pet friendly, but they provide amenities for pets to help maintain a clean and safe environment for pet and nonpet owners. They really thought of everything!

Pointe grand is a beautiful place but it is not without its flaws just like any place. It has been a little confusing trying to get all of the lease together and signed and though someone is always there to answer the phone there has not been great communication in terms of what happens next.

The community is good. The complex remains clean and quiet most of the time. The management is good about solving issues in a timely manner.

At first, living here was okay. Now, it’s horrible, we’ve had visible water damage on our walls since the day we moved in. We were told they’d be fixed and they never got fixed. We’ve had an on going mold issue for the last month and a half. Maintenance said they fixed it and within 2 weeks of it being “fixed” the smell came back and now there’s visible mold again. The company will not let us break our lease and they keep claiming they fixed it but again, there is still visible mold.

A very nice place to live. We all get along with our neighbors. The swimming pool is nice on a hot day. It seems like the neighbors here are very helpful and friendly.

We've been here since March of 2023 and it's been an up and down experience for us. When we first moved in and over the course of the summer/fall months we had a lot of issues with our A/C. The leasing office staff at the time were not very helpful when it came to getting work orders in and completed in a timely manner. However, over the past 6 months, things have been very smooth and no issues!

Constant appliance issues especially with plumbing, dog park is poorly kept, good location and safe neighborhood with good amenities. Overall very dog friendly as well.

Absolutely love living here! The only thing I don’t like is the strictness on the rules and regulations. $350 for a pet deposit is kinda too much on the expensive side too.

No problems as it should be. My only two major complaints is lack of parking and that they charge a $56 convenience fee to pay your rent online.
